Joe Mason

Will we see him in a City shirt this season? Its been a long time since he had an opportunity at the club, if he gets farmed out to a loan club again do you think it would be a sign that he won't be getting an opportunity under OGS?

To be honest I don't know if he's quite good enough. He's clearly got ability and is a very intelligent footballer, but I think his lack of pace is stopping him take his career to the next level. It's a shame cos I like him and would love to see him succeed with us.

After the signings we've made I think he'll only be used for cup games

Agreed. Lovely bloke, wholehearted player but not quite got that first 4-5 yards of acceleration needed at the higher level, he'll have a decent career though :ayatollah:

Don't think this will be a common opinion but he's our best striker in my opinion.

So, so underrated, I would fancy him to put a one-on-one away 90% of the time and his movement to open up space for others is incredible. :ayatollah:

Time to sell him now, with the forwards we got he wont get a look in not even in the cups, think there be a few clubs in Championship that would take him.

Sadly I think he will leave, pity as I've always liked and rated Mason.

I tend to agree with this - the Cup Final goal showed his potential as a genuine finisher.

I am not sure he has ever been given a proper run with City, and whilst it has become fashionable to dismiss him because of a perceived lack of pace - he his definitely quicker than a few players who were picked on the wing last season.

I'd like to keep him,,,the lads got talent & potential. Sell him, & we could have another Rudy playing against us in the Championship.

Would be hoarding though if he's not going to play.

Massively overrated, only looked good because of Miller's movement.
