Charlton v Cardiff will be a 1pm kick off.

On Boxing Day the fixture at Charlton will be a 1pm kick off instead of the advertised 3pm.
So an early start for South Wales Bluebirds heading to South East London.

This fixture has been changed after consultation with the Safety Advisory Group. The game has not been moved because of television.

Cardiff City’s Boxing Day trip to Charlton Athletic has been moved forward two hours and will now kick-off at the earlier time of 1pm.

Originally scheduled for a 3pm kick-off, the fixture has been moved after discussions with the Safety Advisory Group, the Bluebirds revealed on their official website.

They added it has not been selected for live TV coverage as yet.

It comes after the Bluebirds' first game of the season away to Blackburn was moved following the release of fixtures earlier this month to be shown by Sky television.

They will kick-off at Ewood Park at 7.45pm on Friday August 8 in front of the cameras.

Meanwhile Sky will also screen City's trip to Sixfields to play Coventry in the Capital One Cup first round days later on August 13.

If it was Millwall, then, perhaps. No more than that. But Charlton?

It happened to us a few seasons ago at Watford if people recall.
The excuse given then if i remember was that it was all around not paying the police overtime on boxing day.
It is what is, so I for one will be there supporting the mighty BLUEBIRDS :bluescarf: :ayatollah: :bluescarf: :ayatollah: :bluescarf:
