Hey City fans, how goes it?

Hows your summer window going? Any interesting signings so far?

Can't wait for the new season, should be pretty exciting. Hoping my lot can keep hold of Deeney, that beast is worth 20 goals a season but if the premier league comes calling I fear he could be off. We did just sign Vydra again for a season on loan today so between the two of them we would have a brilliant front two for this league. Other signings include Lloyd Dyer, formerly of Leicester (ageing winger but still pretty quick), Gabriel Tamas (centre back apparently, played for Donny recently and WBA before them) and Craig Cathcart (ex-blackpool defender). All our deals are free transfers or loans, I would like to see us spend a bit.

Will be intesresting to see how Vydra does this season.

There must have been a reason he didn't get a kick at WBA, especially after they sold Long and Anelka got sacked.

Ole getting his business done quickly and swiftly, no complaints for me. Just hope it clicks for us.

Yer I have wondered about that, he always looked quite useful when he did come off the bench though. I hope we get the Vydra back who was here in his first six months for us. If we do, then Deeney and Vydra are probably up there with the best strike forces in the league. Last year we shipped too many goals, I would like to see us shore up the back.

I guess this is the season really to see what Ole is made of then. I've always thought he is too nice to be a good manager. Time will tell.

Also out of interest are your lot back for pre-season yet? Ours started monday gone, squad is out in italy as we speak. Seems mighty early to start to me?

Our pre-season starts on the 7th July so I assume they'll be back next week.

Here, here. Not a bad player at all, doesn't deserve anywhere near the abuse he gets on here. We got him on a free and he played a part in getting us promotion, personally I'd like to see him stay

Looks like you've brought in some decent championship signings, Deeney and Vydra can definitely be a force in this league again.

As for us, we've done a fair bit of business early on for once. We've brought in Le Fondre, Javi Guerra (Good record for Vallodolid), Federico Macheda, Guido Burgstaller (Wide player from Rapid Vienna) and Dikgacoi from Palace. I can see there being a fair amount of movement still to come, mainly players leaving, Marshall, Medel, Caulker and Campbell being the most likely departures and also I'm sure Ole has switched his attention to bringing in more defensive players.

It's going to be interesting to see what system Ole's going to favour and what style of play it's going to lead to. With the amount of attacking players we've added to what we've already got Ole's got a tough task of fitting them into a effective system and keeping them all happy.

Nothing wrong with Don btw, a brilliant squad player in the championship, he might want more first team football though.

I've got to say I think Adam Le Fondre is a pretty solid signing for this level. Some of the others I don't know much about but I expect they are probably like some of our imports, you never quite know if the english game will suit them.

Last year we bought in another group of players from Granada and Udinese, and probably less than half of them have hit the spot. Thats the problem with last years scattergun transfer policy, this year we seem to be far more selective going for english experience in particular with lloyd dyer and gabby tamas. We also signed Heurelho Gomes who on his day is a great keeper, I just hope he doesn't make too many mistakes.

I agree about Cowie, a good player for this league. I don't think he would start for Watford though if we had 1st choice midfield of Abdi and Toszer with Anya and Dyer on the wings.
