A more interesting stat would be how many are forwards? Any Chilean player will get a high pass % with their style.

The only reason he passes the ball s lot is he's to f*cking fat and slow to run with it
Wed Jun 25, 2014 12:04 pm
a bit like praising the striker who has the most shots on goal...
playing it simple its quite easy to get a very high success rate, stats can be misleading.

Its prob best we just ignore the 28 successful long balls he's completed in the 3 games at the world cup eh!
Or his average pass length being 22 metres!
Wed Jun 25, 2014 12:30 pm
We had better also ignore the fact that 26.9% of his passes go backwards and 73.1% are forward!

Yeah because having your defensive players driblle the ball constantly is real smart football you bellend

We're going to be playing in the championship with alot of possession which is far better suited to medel

Leave them be mate, if they can't appreciate a good footballer then that's their problem.

Awesome player as always some are just to stupid to realise it. He will be gone probably to a Spanish club after the World Cup.

Some people just have a vendetta against anything positive about Cardiff City I swear it
Medel had been brilliant this World Cup, his range of passing and ball retention have been up there with the best. I just don't get why people are so negative about possibly the best player we'll have for a long time.
Wed Jun 25, 2014 11:49 pm
Medel is a top class player I don't know how people don't see it. The problem medel has at Cardiff is the players around him aren't good enough. He isn't there to create goals, he breaks up play, wins the ball back and keeps possession and does it very, very well.
He will join a big club in Europe, probably Spain and be very successful.
Swans fans were using stats last season to try and prove he wasn't good. Now they're saying stats don't tell the whole story. Make your minds up.

why are you on here?

As soon as I seen the title of this thread I knew what the replies would be. Gary Medal has been outstanding in this world cup. If a team of the group stages was picked he would have to seriously considered. In my opinion he would be in it.
Why are we not proud as Cardiff fans that one of our bluebirds is staring in a world cup? Hope we loan him out for season and get him back next season when we are back in premier league.

I'd expect some of the idiotic comments on here from the sad jacks but from so called Cardiff City fans?
Talk about supporting your players!!
Medal is class, playing in the World Cup & playing brilliantly. FFS he's a Cardiff City player, how many times over the years have we been able to say that? He plays his position & excels at it.
Some people on here are just so naive it's unbelievable. If we had Neymar there'd be some on here complaining he was crap because he didn't track back!
