Will Grigg may leave Brentford this summer.
Bristol City want to sign Brentford striker Will Grigg. Robins manager Steve Cotterill is eyeing the 22-year-old as he searches for more goals in his side.
Grigg was highly impressive with Walsall, finishing the 2012/13 season with 20 goals, which saw him moving to Brentford last summer for a six-figure fee.
However he has struggled for form at Griffin Park with only four goals in 34 appearances. The Bees are thought to want around £300,000 as they look to recoup some of the money they paid for the forward last year. (Bristol Post)
Sheffield United are still chasing Cardiff City defender John Brayford despite being told he isn't for sale.
The full-back enjoyed a productive spell at Bramall Lane last season and Blades manager Nigel Clough wants to bring him back on a permanent deal.
The recently-relegated Bluebirds are thought to see him as a squad player but won’t let him leave at this stage of the summer.
Despite this, today’s reports indicate the free-spending Blades still hope to land him before pre-season starts. (Sheffield Star)
Bolton Wanderers striker Craig Davies has emerged as a target for League One new-boys Chesterfield.
The former Barnsley striker previously played with the Spireites during the 2010/11 season, scoring 23 goals in his 41 games.
He could now return to Derbyshire on a permanent deal after fading out of Dougie Freeman’s plans at the Reebok.
Manager Paul Cook is keen to add to his strikeforce following his side's promotion from League Two but they could yet face competition from Preston North End where Davies finished last season. (Derbyshire Times)
Crawley Town manager John Gregory has confirmed they will make another signing tomorrow.
He said: “It’s all been done, we’re just waiting for a medical in the morning.”
The Red Devils have already added Jimmy Smith, Brian Jensen, Ryan Dickson, Lanre Oyebanjo, Sonny Bradley and Gavin Tomlin this summer. (Crawley News)

John Brayford arrived here last summer, highly recommended, then vanished without trace. To be honet, if I were him, I'd jump at the chance of going back to Bramall Lane. Brayford and Nigel Clough go back a long way. Playing for a manager who rates you is surely better than being a squad player. Bit of a strange story, really. These things do happen in football, though. Brayford must be bewildered that he was second fiddle to KTC!

Give them KTC and we'll keep Brayford. Still to this day I don't get why we signed a good player then never played him? Malky didn't half waste some money aye, I'd have sacked his ass too if I was Tan

Brayford will start for us, I feel convinced of that. Now, if he wants to play for a Division One side ahead of us.. the Championship favourites, then that's his call.
"
Free spending Sheffield United"?.. like as if they have the financial power to out muscle us and influence a player on our books to join them?
