Away tickets this year

Fri Jun 20, 2014 11:47 am

Let's just hope there is a better system in place this season for away tickets. Some of my mates couldn't come to games cis of all that 6 games, 8 games Bollucks so let's hope this year we actually encourage more people to go away.

What system do you suggest then that is better than last years system where the fans who had followed the club away from home in the Championship were given first chance of tickets ? There were also a lot of games your mates could have gone to that went down to gold or silver members or weren't they the more glamorous fixtures they wanted to attend :?:

Ryan I understand what you're saying but the reason why they did it that way was to make sure the fans that go to most away games every season get their reward of a ticket before any fair-weather fan which imho is fair enough

I can't understand why people moan about the system that was used last year, if their was a high demand for a game the people who had traveled the most in the previous season were rewarded with the option to buy a ticket first. Fair system to me.

Going on to this season the demand wont be as high for tickets along with potentially bigger allocations so I'd imagine there will be no problems in getting tickets

I was a gold member yet went to every away game i wanted . Seemed a very fair system.

ticket office to announce next week if away membership or gold tickets will come back .

Flights booked for Blackburn even though on Sky - cant wait

Ah yeah don't get me wrong I totally agree with rewarding loyalty. However I also see it that if the club ever wants more fans it's not really making this possible to travel. Just think there should perhaps be 5-10% of ticket allocation to literally go into a first come first served "pot". That way it's at least giving an option for new fans to be introduced to the Ccfc family .

We won't be selling many allocations out this season, maybe Bournemouth as it's a small allocation but a popular away day and close

I thought it was fair last season , I only go to a couple of away games every season (due to funds/work) I managed to go to 2 last season(West Ham/Fulham) would of liked to go to more but couldn't as I didn't attend enough in the championship , think it's only fair that fans who followed the team away most get 1st choice

Still dont think it makes it an option for new fans to embrace the away travel tho (if there are any that havent been scared off lol)

There will be plenty of opportunity for 'new' fans to travel away this season. Lets hope they do.

I agree with the system. IM sure loads of fans will want to go to Andorra away with Wales but i think capacity is 1800 and loads will want to go to Cyprus away in sep 2015. Regular wales fans will be rewarded just like the system Cardiff have. Both schemes reward loyalty

there was plenty of opportunity for new fans to register games last season.....Newcastle,Sunderland,Southampton,Spurs,Hull, Stoke.............were all nowhere near sell outs...........im sure there were others...........plus some games that did sell out only did so after tickets went to ST holders and Members with no criteria............
