If your willing to go off the beaten track a bit and eat where the locals do the food and the wine are superb and cheap as chips.

Been there 7 times, although not Albuherra - great place, great people, great food.
If you get a chance pop to Alvor - magnificent beach and old style village with lots of bars/restaurants and no spotty teenagers

Went there 35 years ago when I was 15

I got sunstroke and spent a week in bed so not my favourite place, but don't let that put you off.

Due to some bad timing, and hoping at the time of booking we would still be in the premier, we are off to Albuferia on the 7th August so will miss the Blackburn game. Can anyone recommend a bar to watch the game in ideally one where the missis can sit outside people watching while me and the kids watch the game. Even better if anyone else is there the same time.

Came back from there last week. The Old Town is much better to go in the nights. The strip is tacky as hell, lots of gangs of youngsters getting pissed up as they do.
It was bloody warm too in the days but gets windy in the evening...
