' NEW BLUE SHIRT? '

Mon Jun 16, 2014 3:50 pm

I would like to say Congratulations to Phil Jones aka Alfie Sherwood for coming up with the New Shirt , Its Brilliant. Great Job.

I understand that at least £5 from each Shirt bought will be going towards TY HAFAN which is an amazing gesture.

I have no idea what is happening to the rest of the profit , But I thought that some of it could go towards a fund for the Trust for either future campaigns in Fighting for our Blue Back or even towards Future investment in shares in the Club should Tan Leave .

Just A Thought ,

Steve

I personally think that Alfie has been more than generous with his time etc.. Someone had to front the whole thing with cash remember.
I think that we shouldn't bite the hand that feeds us sometimes. :bluescarf:

Personally i think whatever profit is left should go into the pockets of the people who are making the effort to design and manufacture them.
Good work lads.

Yes well done Phil Jones aka Alfie Sherwood, you have put a lot of time and effort in to this for the fans who are now able to have a BLUE shirt next season and it was your idea and your work behind the scenes that has made this all possible, once again Well Done Phil :thumbright: :thumbright: :bluescarf: :bluescarf: :bluescarf: :bluescarf:

Thanks for all the positive comments. I may have project managed it but it's been a team effort behind the scenes.

As far as myself and CCST are concerned, this has been a completely not for profit venture. The aim is to put an affordable, good quality blue shirt on the market and to raise as much money as possible for Ty Hafan. Kukri, themselves, have also very much entered into the spirit of the project and I believe their margins are extremely tight - in order that Ty Hafan benefit.

I booked a day off work today as I knew it would be a frantic and pretty stressful day - and so it has proven! There has been a slight delay in getting the Kukri online shop for CCST fully operational but it should be up and running either later today or tomorrow.

Thanks for your patience

That's a decision for the trust board tbh.

From conversations I've had with Kukri there would also be financial and logistical reasons why it could be difficult.

I've had my hands on quite a few prototypes and I would say they are generously cut.

I'll be buying a size smaller than I normally would but then I prefer ny gear to be a snug fit.

Online now. Ordered mine no dramas. Had quite a few bits if Kukri kit for rugby in the past. They are slightly generous but nothing to worry about.

Depends what taxes they are referring to and the specific amounts associated.

If there was any gift aid included (which I doubt there would be) then a registered charity can claim back around 25p in the pound.

charities are subject to the same VAT rules as anyone else, depending of course on the amount traded that falls within a vatable bracket.

BTW, i think this is a much better option for campaigning as opposed to the other shirt that was produced on here. Well done the trust!
