Just watching the World Cup as a neutral and it's France vs Honduras, if anyone is watching or please try and take a look but just after the thoughts of whether the goal should have stood or not..
Due to the intro of goal line technology has the game been spoilt..?
IMO I don't like it (I know it's the fairest way) but I don't agree as the game has always been judged On the naked eye at game speed..
Thoughts guys..?

Not really it's just the game moving with the times.

Why should a goal not be allowed if its over the line?
Technology worked fine, its other people like Pearce that dont know how it works

Anything that can reduce the uncertainties in football should be applauded imo.
With the amounts of money involved nowadays it reduces the chances of refs being bought if decisions are less in their hands.

Should have gotten goal line tech years ago get with the times its 100% needed and should be used.
You would rather incompetent officials?

Dont need goal line technology. Some of us have great eyes. Just ask our opinion.

I fully applaud the technology, and it did wonders for the French today.

Goal-line technology I am for but reviews for example I am not. It takes away the fast pace of the game if that was ever brought in. I'm sure it's like it in cricket and rugby? Football can't go down that route. But goal-line technology is quick and effective

I agree completely. I also believe good/bad refereeing is part of the charm of football.

No it's improved, that was a goal and the right decision was made, without it The goal would not have been awarded...

Any sport where an official can decide the outcome of the match rather than your own teams actions deciding it - there is something seriously wrong.
If you score a goal it shouldn't be up to the ref to say "well i dont want to give it" - you should be able to prove you did and thus stick two fingers up to the dickhead in black that has been ruining games for so long with sheer ineptitude.
Should have been brought in years ago.

In my opinion "Our Beatutiful Game" has been improved by the introduction of goal line technology and despite all that nonsense by the commentator on the BBC last night the majority of people watching would have understood what was happening as the "Review" was being replayed.
I 100% disagree that any referee would ever think "I don't want to give the goal" because before this technology the referee had to be sure the ball had crossed the line before he could award a goal, and there is a huge difference between wanting to be "Sure" and "Not wanting to award a goal".
I believe that over time this technology will develop further to include virtually instant decisions on "Offside" decisions because at this WC already Mexico have been denied 2 goals by incorrect Offside decisions.
As long as this technology is used to review "Line decisions" like goals or Offside then I believe most fans would accept it as an improvement but decisions about a foul should ALWAYS to left to the referee.

I understand the arguments of those in favor of the goal-line-technology being used. But I certainly am against it, because it takes away an emotional aspect of the game. And secondly because I'm worried about what will be the next thing introduced. What's the difference between this technology and the offside one who would have given Mexico two more goals in their opening WC match against Greece. Is that a technology we should welcome?
BUT if they are to use the goal-line-technology, why only in the World Cup's final stage? What about the fairness in the qualifications? And if they introduce this (very expensive) technology in the PL, for instance, what about the Championship? Loads of money involved in a deciding match for promotion. And then what? Where should the line be drawn?
I find all of this very problematic. I love to hate the ref, and love to love him when my team is on the winning end of the decisions. He/she is a part of my love for the game just as much as the players are. None of which are flawless.

goal-line technology helps the referee whereas the review system being touted about would only put added pressure onto them

Whether the ball crosses the line or not is a black or white decision, there is no middle ground. We can't continue to have situations where a goal has been scored and the goal has not been given due to it looking like it hadn't crossed the line. The French goal yesterday at first glance did not look like a goal, technology cleared that one up for us. It has no effect on the flow of the game whatsoever.
