' Championship Fixtures 2014/15 will be announced this Wednesday 18th June 2014. '

Ole Gunnar Solskjaer Needs a good start and a very good run in my opinion as we will need to win a lot of missing fans back asap,a lot will prob turn up the first game as they usually do and they need convincing that the team will be challenging.

We will need to get a half-empty stadium rocking,I think Ole's signings so far will excite fans as they will see Ole's team as an attacking team with plenty of goals to come.

I am concerned about how Ole's team will defend going on by what I saw last season?

If Ole starts well and gets a very good run going, I do then see City in the top 3 by Xmas, but I also fear that a bad start would see us actually go the other way drastically, I dont see us just being a middle of the road team, its one or the other and if we were in the bottom half by Xmas, I believe Tan would have no hesitation in sacking Ole.

But like I say,if we start well I believe Ole's team will grow in confidence and will tear teams apart with the way he manages, its so essential to start well under Ole. :thumbright: :ole: :bluescarf:

Football League crowds rise by over 100,000 last season.

Following a recent full club survey, The Football League has confirmed that the 2014/15 season will commence on Saturday 9th August 2014.

The inaugural week of the campaign will also host the First Round of the Capital One Cup.

The 2014 festive period will see full schedules in each division on Saturday 20th December, Boxing Day, and on Sunday 28th December.

Saturday 2nd May 2015 marks the conclusion of all three divisions.

Wembley Stadium will then stage the Play-Off Finals over the Spring bank holiday weekend, starting with the Sky Bet League 2 Final on Saturday 23rd May. The Sky Bet League 1 Final takes place on the 24th, followed by the Sky Bet Championship Final on Monday 25th May.

As always I'm really looking forward to the fixtures coming out this week, including the Capital One Cup, as it will mean we are only a month or so away from it all starting again.

One thing is certain, in my opinion, and that's a new season ALWAYS brings with it new hope and even after a really disappointing season last time around the majority of fans will look forward to us having a positive season.

The reality is that we will know how our season will pan out 12 games in and if we are not in the top 6, at least, at that point then there will be tremendous pressure on OGS from within the club.

That's the biggest question for me about next season will OGS be left to do his job and not have the constant sniping that MM had to endure from VT and his crew of yes men.

Leave OGS alone and we will do OK ,and by that I mean a top 6 finish, but f**k around with off field bullshit like last season then anything could happen including relegation.

I'm looking forward to this season. There has been a massive overhaul of the team I just hope that they all gel well and give everything they have got to the club, got so fed up with watching certain players last season who were obviously just there for a paycheck.
I have got faith in Ole though and I think we can go straight back up, but whatever league we are in I will always support the boys.

One big difference is that tan chose ole whereas he did not appoint Malky and never understood why gethin employed him based on his record at Watford
I know that he was even thinking of replacing Malky after the away draw at Watford the promotion season because he wanted a bigger name in charge of the club in the premier.
I think the pressure on ole will be immense and I don't think tan would hesitate in getting rid of him as early as October if he thought it wasent working.
I think ole had a lot of unwarranted stick over his performance after Xmas as he did his best in January with what was available in the transfer window and mats, fabio and cala will have a big part to play this season especially as they will have a pre season behind them.
If we can keep hold of Mutch and get a couple of quality defenders in then we will rightly be favourites bearing in mind the signings so far

The worry I have here Steve is that although Ole inherited a difficult situation I saw absolutely nothing to give me confidence.

Of course others will say he inherited a team not of his chosing so what do you expect. Well I would expect to see some improvement if it meant changing direction with what you have. What I saw was a total collapse. Adding to that it was not like Ole was given anything. He was allowed to add to the squad but they gave us nothing excluding Daehli.

So we now find ourselves in the unusual situation of having a squad ready before opening time. Some interesting imports if I have to say. However to me it feels like it is going to be a waste from what I have seen of Ole. October would not surprise me.

Its the least we can do and that is to give him a chance.

The transition was always going to be difficult given the criteria he had to work with plus it being a difficult time to bring in what was needed. We saw a more attacking football team but with disasterous results. If the results were a bit more painless then yes I would feel a lot more confident going into this next campaign. At the moment I feel it could all turn out to be a waste. Hope I'm wrong.

Generally you are correct, but there are exceptions. I think we will be like a new team, with all the new players and Ole getting a chance to work with the players.

I think we will have the best squad in the League, and probably the best starting eleven, if he can sort the defence we should fly from day one :ayatollah: :bluescarf: :ole:

The inaugural week of the campaign will also host the First Round of the Capital One Cup.

I wont be returning until were back in blue now. Had enough of Tans lies and the fans gullable enough to believe them.

Why go last season when we were in red, now we're relegated you're suddenly not going and using the red ad an excuse, so much for supporting your team through the bad times

Spot on, you can't blame the Red or Tan now.......

Just my opinion :thumbright: :bluescarf: :bluescarf:

Football League crowds rise by over 100,000 last season.

The first two games I saw us play were Barnet and Scarborough, yet I didn't get to see us play the likes of Chelsea and Liverpool last year because of my opposition to the rebrand, so maybe you should both get your facts straight before you start telling me when I did or didn't go to watch us, or that I don't support us through the bad times. :thumbright:
