Cardiff City midfielder Don Cowie is attracting interest from a number of clubs but his former club Watford are said to be leading the race, reports ClubCall.
Glasgow Rangers and Huddersfield Town have been linked with a move for the 31-year-old but Blackburn Rovers and Burnley have also joined the race with Watford ahead of the chasing pack.
Watford are favourites to sign Don Cowie
Cowie is out-of-contract with the Welsh side is expected to leave this summer for pastures new.
The Bluebirds have offered the midfielder a new contract but he has yet to put pen-to-paper and is rumoured to have already held talks with Rangers.
Cowie had a tw0-year spell at Watford after signing from Inverness in February 2009 and went on to play 88 times for the Hornets, scoring nine goals.

Cowie could be swayed by Rangers move
I WILL be interested to see what Don Cowie's reaction is to the interest that Rangers have shown in him.

Cardiff City midfielder Don Cowie could be tempted by a move to Rangers.
The midfielder, who is out of contract, has been offered a new deal by Cardiff City.
Ole Gunnar Solskjaer is keen for the 10-times capped Scotland international to help the Bluebirds get back into the Barclays Premier League.
But Cowie did not feature in a huge number of games for the Welsh club last season. And he may be tempted by a return to his homeland after five years down south.
Despite not playing in the top flight, Rangers still have a massive appeal, especially for Scottish players.
Yes, Cowie will probably pick up more money if he stays across the border. And we are all motivated by how much we can earn. But, at 31, this would probably be the last move of the former Ross County and Inverness Caledonian Thistle player's career
The chance of playing for a big club like Rangers and helping them return to the top flight may be of interest to him.
It is down to him. But I certainly think he would be a great addition to Ally McCoist's squad.

Decent championship player but that is it. I think we need to be setting our sights higher and recruiting players who have the potential to do well in the Premiership.
