Wollf Eikrem back to Molde?

Tue Jun 10, 2014 6:29 am

Norwegian papers are reporting that Magnus Wolff Eikrem are in Molde now, and will be training with the team today.
Too bad if he leaves now. Thought he would be good in the championship.

I would say it was a shit signing, but apparently if the fee is not over 2mill, you are exempt from any criticism.

Would like to see what he can do with a full pre season and now settled. The little I saw of him was not enough to judge him either way

Only seen a bit of him but looked fairly comfortable on the ball, expected from ex manu. Let me guess we've given him back for free?

Not sure if it's in the middle of their season now perhaps he's gone over just to get some early training in.

Relax, he's training with Molde because it's his home city. It's natural when he's hom on vacation and knows everyone at the club. I think he will be in Ole's plans for next season, certainly a good squad player.

Molde (Dagbladet): Monday rolled over Molde Fire home at Aker Stadion. Series leader served another big game, and did not itself a minor favorite in the title race.

Ole Gunnar Solskjaer's men stood by ten points at the same time last year. The difference is huge. Today the team with 29 points after twelve rounds.

The stands

One who were joined Samba beats of Mohamed "Moi» Elyounoussi , was Magnus Wolff Eikrem . National player played two seasons and won two league championships with the club from home.

But in winter chose 23-year-old to follow his former boss, Solskjaer, Cardiff and Wales.

Season in English football, however, was tough. Solskjaer, Eikremsholmen and former Molde striker Jo Inge Berget had to take the difficult road into the Championship.

The MFK-training

Molde has a large, wide stall, but has struggled with numerous injuries in the spring season.

Players Bjorn Bergmann Sigurdarson, Per Egil Flo, Magne Simonsen, Knut Olav Rindarøy and Magne Hoseth is out injured.

Molde coach Ole Tor Skullerud was delighted after 4-2 victory. He excludes neither team is going to intensify in the summer, when the transfer window opens on July 1.

- Player logistics rolls and runs all the time, and I never rule out anything. We have so many good players that there may well be something happens there, he says.

The coach confirmed to Dagbladet that he has talked with Magnus Wolff Eikrem, but will not say anything other than that.

- I have spoken so far with him. Magnus comes to training tomorrow. He soon begins pre-season, says Skullerud.

Cardiff player played during Tor Ole Skullerud lead after Norway U21 won bronze in Israel Championship last summer.

I seriously doubt that Eikrem will leave at this point. Him training with his friends at Molde during his vacation is logical - would be more concerned if he didn't!

I hope a year in the Championship is just what Eikrem needs now. He'll get more playing time (probably) and get to settle properly. Cardiff need a type of player like him, and he should be able to grab a spot in the starting lineup within this year. He's taken every level so far with Man Utd U21, Molde and lastly Heerenveen, so he really should be the one of the norwegians to count on. Mats needs time to develop and can't play 90 minutes every match in the Championship. Berget's future is more uncertain, but the boy has got great ambition and could turn out to be useful during a long season.

And even if Eikrem's time at CCFC is up, I doubt he'll be heading back to Molde because of his very good spell in Holland.

Most Norwegian players that have gone abroad are back home in Norway during vacations and usually train with the better teams in Norway. Morten Gamst Pedersen, Brede Hangeland, Mats Daehli and Solskjaer himself have all done the same, it's no big deal at all. Eikrem will stay, and I think he will be involved a lot in the Championship for Cardiff.

Champ sorry.

Maybe but he needs a chance first under ole who signed him hes had hardly any game time last season which i find odd tbh why ole signed aload of players yet only played 1-2 in each game last season.

When Ekirem came on against west ham I thought he looked good, had a nice volley shot. Man city fa cup he looked good as well, Bolton he was poor. Berget was a strange one, I just put that down to limited funds and time.

I thought he looked crap...... but the Whitts haters were so determined to find a replacement they overlooked the fact that he was no better than a burnt out Whitts. The freshened up Whitts currently is miles ahead of what we have seen with our eyes...

But, there is always a but, what a time to join a club, in crisis and visibly melting. He was not match fit and certainly not ready for a relegation battle.

He can't be as average as I think he is......Time will tell.

The freshened up witts has been shit for the past 2 seasons. The last time he scored a free kick humans didn't wear shoes.

1 of the worst posts I've read on here. Whitts has been 1 of our best and most loyal players since he joined us. He is also 1 of the best midfielders at Championship level, and is better than Eikrem from what I saw, and obviously OGS saw at the end of the season

Was that the 2 seasons he was turned into almost a 3rd centre back? Yes I agree, but put him in his proper position, either just behind the striker or normal central midfield and he is 1 of the best midfielders in the championship

Loyal my arse
Whitts is well paid
Has no ambition
His girl friend wont move away from penarth
Is in a comfort zone
Seems to need a break mid way through the season now to recharge his energy levels
Is getting consistently worse each season now
Half the player he was 3 seasons ago
No exscuse that hes played out of position if hes that good he should be able to do the job the manager asks him to do
