Total shocker! Rik (spelt with a silent "P") was amazing. Apart from Bottom and The Young Ones, check out "The Dangerous Brothers" (with Ade Edmonson) and of course the amazing "Comic Strip Presents". "Mr Jolly Lives Next Door" with Rik, Ade and the late Peter Cook, is probably my favourite half hour of TV ever.

Terrible news and only 56. He's right up there with the great comedians, what a loss. The Young Ones broke the mould, Bottom & filty Rich and Catflap were just amazing. Too much brilliant stuff to mention. Gutted. Rest In Peace.

Really gutted! Was hoping for a "bad news" reunion. His part playing Colin Grigson left me in stitches and undoubtedly the worst bass player to grace heavy metal!
