What they doing near the sliproad on M4?

Passed there going to games and they were moving earth etc i passed today and they are still there so just wondered if anyone know what they are doing?

They are doing a new slip road straight on to the slink road so cars don't have to stop

traffic builds up there every morning so it'll reduce the chance of bearing arse ended by a divvy in a bmw

Think there was also talk of a landfill over in the fields so could be access road, bet the locals ain't happy and lovely view coming into the Capital

Landfill was a non starter, there's no quarry etc etc. someone opened Whitehall quarry for it.

Just a thought, it may be something to do with the G8 summit being held in Celtic Manor later in the year. Maybe freeing the traffic up to allow quicker access into Cardiff and the airport for the G8 leaders and the many other heads of state that will be attending.
One thing is for sure, for all of us that travel the M4 past Newport, with the increased security, protesters etc it's going to be a fookin nightmare getting to work that week
