In regards to Tan buying this Portuguese club, I think this is very positive news, baring in mind I want VT to remain as our owner, as mentioned already he is expanding his footballing portfolio with us as the centre piece of that portfolio.

He clearly has ambition to remain in football for the some time yet and contray to reports and rumours we read here he has not said himself that his itention is selling us at the first opportunity, in fact he is STILL putting things in place (feeder clubs) to make us a club with a better setup than we currently have, stadium expansion, feeder clubs, better training facilities, bigger transfer budgets, big name managers (or up and coming at least)

Its all very positive, other than one thing, the colour of the shirt, and he has even offered to compromise on that. I think his words were twisted back then, lets concentrate on promotion then we will deal with the colour compromise, I dont think he necessarily meant 'only if we are promoted'

Fair play to Tan, I know he isnt favour of the month, no scratch that, favour of the century, with some, but in my opinion, he is a isnt as bad as we are led to believe.

Gav, doesn't a change in colour of home shirt need to be registered at some point before the season ends? I think i can remember this being mentioned around the time of the original change. If so it may have meant that by the time of his change in heart it was too late to change for next season? Just a thought!

Great post by the way. I think you're right, to all intent and purpose he is putting a huge infrastructure in place to really grow us as a club

I don't care what "good" Tan does for our club, everything Tan does is for his benefit and for his benefit only. Tan's proven he doesn't care for our football club. Tan can give us all the money, players, training facilities, feeder clubs etc he wants, it will never change the way I feel. Tan will never buy my soul with his millions. I am a Bluebird, I am blue till I die and I want my club back, whatever the level. Give me the real Cardiff City in the Conference over what we have now anytime! Tan out! :bluescarf: :bluescarf: :bluescarf: :bluescarf: :bluescarf: :bluescarf:

yes, it does look like he will continue with us! he could of been our best ever owner, if it wasn't for the rebrand! was a mistake then, and will always be a mistake, and until the mistake is put right, he will be hated here... the compromise offer is to late now!

Gavin you talk about the colour of our shirts as if it's a nothing subject. And you say Tan will compromise !! You really can't be that naive to believe that do you ? If he was willing to compromise he would do it now and not in a years time.
Discussing the colour of our shirts would not impact with what goes on the pitch what bollocks Gav sorry.
I hate Vincent Tan with my every breath and to think the guy could of had god like status as well but choose with his money to rape our club of its identity.

Nukes, there is no doubting your hatred of Tan, its clear from your posts nothing he does will ever win you over, and as I said to tonteg, I totally respect your views, and I also respect that you have remained constant with your opinion, never waivering.

But sometimes I think that that hatred could cloud your judgement on the man. He is doing some good things for the club to move us forward.

Change us back to blue and Vinny can do what the fuk he wants I'll just support the boys and watch the beautiful game.

Re: Vincent Tan

if he was really going to compromise he wouldn't put red seats in the new stand, he's only saying he will compromise at end of next season so the protests die down next season

Tan is expanding to make us more attractive to sell.

Or perhaps he wants to sell the main branch with the tie in that these cheap clubs sell their best players to us. Money yo be made grinding cheap and selling on.

I suppose we could all tilt the story to suit our own specific points of few, only time will tell.

I don't think so. I just think he is a vulture that can see an opportunity to make a few quid. Which is perfectly within his right, but he just does it the wrong way.

He can stick his compromise up his arse, full return to blue white and yellow is what is needed no compromise and no red otherwise he can f**k off

That his opinions on Tan and his "overall value" to the club are different to yours (and mine in different ways) is one thing that can be debated long and hard, but I don't think anyone can doubt Nukes commitment to Cardiff City FC, fella ;)

And I don't think he "gets off" on seeing what he believes is an attack on his club either
