Chile midfielder Gary Medel rubbishes injury concerns

Chile midfielder Gary Medel has rubbished concerns over his fitness ahead of the World Cup.

The 26-year-old took a knock on Saturday while training with his international teammates.

Despite initial fears over the extent of the injury, Medel insists that it was only a minor scrape.

"Thanks for the concern, but it was just a hit and I'm fine," he tweeted.

Chile start their World Cup campaign on Friday when they face Australia in Cuiaba.

Unlikely that we will see him again.
