RIP Austin Martin (Alfy)

Unfortunately today Austin lost his short battle with cancer, only told a few weeks ago he didn't have long and it was too late to do anything. He followed city for years with the Barry lads, normally on Martin Payne's bus. He was Cardiff through and through and a top guy! Always welcoming to anyone and a very enjoyable chap!

I am saddened by this. I knew the end was near but not nice to hear. Austin (aka Alf Garnett) was a top bloke and I always enjoyed his company. What stories! Mad days on the Doh a Deer bus.

Very sad and didn't know he was unwell. Used to travel on Martin's bus often.

Had the pleasure of knowing Alfie and travelled many a mile all over the country supporting the City with him.

Sad news indeed. We've lost another true Bluebird and a great character. Fond memories of some great away-days with Alfie and the crew on Paynie's coach.

Didn't really know him,but remember seeing him at away games when we used to travel with the rams,R I P fellow bluebird.

I grew up with his Son. Proper character and City through and through.
