If he was going to leave he would just cut his losses and leave,He certainly wouldn't fund another campaign which could fail and increase the loss he is going to make.
There wasn't a long list of buyers for us around £30/40m let alone £150m+.
Look at Aston Villa, Massive Club,Massive Fan Base never been outside Premiership.
Doesn't seem to be much interest for Mr Lerner's Departure.
I'm certainly no expert on finances and Far Eastern business men, but I do know Tan has a lot of wealth and doesn't like to lose Face(common trait).
Wouldn't rule out Tan taking a backward step within the controlling of the club, but I don't think he is willing to throw countless of millions already spent and potential multitude of millions more away.

Wait for Lord Roathie to answer, he knows the ins and outs of the club more than Tan himself.

tan as 2 choices 1st stay long term and reduce outlay all around club! 2nd sell up at any cost so losing potentially millions ££££s, what he cannot do is just walk out taking parachute payment who Will run club or who Will own it? and without such income the club Will have to go into administration ! if that's case tan Will lose large amount money, if people think he's that
stupid well they are niave to extreme.
unless of course a mega rich person buys him out and we all no there's loads lined up waiting like before!
