Campbell does just enough to deceive and weaken a side

Fri Jun 06, 2014 1:38 pm

It wont matter that he's gone - he will be missed at this level but in the premiership he is dangerous to have in your side for the wrong reasons.
he does just about enough on the pitch to go unoticed for criticism. He works hard, he has an attractive style of play but whilest he may work hard, he doesn't offer any added dimension up front in my opinion, Goal ratio is too low and he doesn't provide enough creativity to offer us any extra value.
I see this as extremely dangerous and it costs us alot of points, he also has some weak area's that will mean others need to work extra hard or it leaves us exposed and vulnerable in the middle and the final third

In fairness we were incapable of giving him a decent service last season and he was injured most of the championship season before it.
People getting their knickers in a twist over nothing . If he wants to go let him go simple as that really

Don't agree sorry mate, given the right service he can get double figures in the prem IMO. We'll see next year..

I tend to agree with you. He needs too many chances so we to convert. chances will always be at a premium in the prem

You've summed him up in your first sentence... He will be missed at this level.

Spot on. People looking ahead or back like we are in the Premier League. Campbell would get 20 goals in the championship, that's what matters now

The price is a joke

I think a lot of people forget just how poor his finishing was last season. First half of the year, I felt sorry for him as Malky's tactics weren't giving him any chance, but once Ole came in, he started getting more opportunities to score and he fluffed them, costing us points.

7 goals in 12 in the Champ from January to May, wasn't match fit to start and he carried us over the line, does anyone sympathies that a newly promoted club started 1 up front for 30 games?

He spent this season chasing aimless long balls and being squished by centre backs.
