Leeds REJECT Newcastle bid for star striker Ross McCormack
LEEDS owner Massimo Cellino has revealed that Newcastle's bid for Cardiff and West Ham target Ross McCormack has been rejected.
By: David Wright: Thu, June 5, 2014
McCormack looks set to stay at Leeds through the summer transfer window.
Cardiff City had a bid rejected in January this year.
The Scotland striker was in fine form in the Championship last season, attracting Premier League interest after scoring 28 goals.
West Ham and Cardiff both had approaches rebuffed in January, with Newcastle now joining the chase for his signature.
But Cellino clearly wants to hold onto the services of 27-year-old, who signed a new three-year deal at Elland Road last summer.
Cellino has no intention of selling star striker McCormack
Newcastle made an offer for McCormack and " I said no "
Massimo Cellino
"Newcastle made an offer for McCormack and I said no," he said.
"He is happy to stay here and that made me proud."
Newcastle are in the market for a new striker after seeing the loan deals of both Loic Remy and Luuk de Jong end, while Shola Ameobi departed on a free.

Ross seems to be settled at Leeds. He 'gets' the club, so all credit to him.

Leeds United owner Massimo Cellino has reportedly confirmed that he has turned down a bid from Newcastle United for their star striker Ross McCormack who scored 29 goals in the Championship last season.
Cellino told Sky Sports:
“Newcastle made an offer for McCormack and I said no. He is happy to stay here and that made me proud.”
No problem with that.

Don't want him back.
Nothing against him just think there is something that I wouldn't see him being to his best like he has been with Leeds.
I felt like we sold him at the right time, the price shocked me but I think he never really got to himself like he was here.
Bothroyd and Chopra was brilliant together and McCormack we couldn't fit in, he would have been on to the wing if anything.

It seems people have forgotten he was an overweight piss head who was driving his car into lamp posts when we got rid of him.
Was moved on because of his drinking culture and lack of fitness

i think signing Bellers was the end for him...........had to pull some wages back somewhere, and call a spade a spade he was never going to start........hardly played for Leeds that 1st year either..........
