Sad to hear, always had a soft spot for them.

Is it definitely going ahead? Would love it if we took a big crowd there. Give them a helping hand

Salisbury ended up getting demoted from conference to Southern prem for failing to pay debts. This was on a technicality and the money was in place but not paid on the day required so they got demoted 2 leagues.

While each club should learn to live within it's means and therefore not end up like this (As a Swans fan I obviously know this from us having learned it the hard way), it's a modern day football scandal that clubs at the lower end of the pyramid are in such a position when you consider the money floating around at the top end.

Couldn't agree more. The fact clubs can be close to going under for what is often an amount equal to a weeks wages of a top PL players is scandalous.

That would be great. Remember Hereford coming into league football in the 70s. They used to play in the Welsh Cup too, if my memory serves me right. Hope they can pull through this.

It's disgusting. My local non league team Andover folded 3 years ago for a debt of less than 10 grand. They reformed last season and are on sound footing with local players and a tie in with southampton academy.

When you see distinctly average players like Hudson and McNaughton (no disrespect as they are good pros) driving around in top of range mercs and bmw earning huge wages in relation to the working man you see the huge gulf in footballing wealth between the so called elite and those at the bottom of the food chain.
