Grabban said: "It's good to start a new chapter, get going again with Norwich and hopefully get promotion."

Lewis Grabban

Cardiff City target Lewis Grabban has signed for Norwich City on a three-year deal.

The Bluebirds had a £3m bid reportedly accepted for the Bournemouth striker earlier this month but he has opted to join fellow Premier League relegation side Norwich.

Leicester City trigger Cardiff City striker Fraizer Campbell's release clause with £800,000 bid - reports

In a statement on their website, Norwich said: "Norwich City can confirm the signing of striker Lewis Grabban from Bournemouth for an undisclosed fee, pending paperwork. Grabban has signed a three-year deal with an option for a further year.

"The 26-year-old arrives at Carrow Road having made a total of 93 appearances for The Cherries in a two-year spell, scoring 35 goals. He was Bournemouth's leading goalscorer last season with 22 strikes, helping Eddie Howe's side secure a 10th-place finish in the Sky Bet Championship a year after being promoted from League One."

Grabban himself said: "It's good to start a new chapter, get going again with Norwich and hopefully get promotion.

"I've played here before and the atmosphere's been great, the fans are great. It's exciting to be a part of the club now and hopefully do well for them."

This tells me we are not throwing silly wages at players anymore. In years gone by we would have blown Norwich out of the water if going for the same player.

Glad ole didn't waste any time with him and brought in players, Ole doesn't seen like the type of person that likes being dicked around, you're either in or not

I think he knew we had loads of good strikers brought in recently and he wouldn't be first choice

We're spoilt for choice in the forwards department, so him signing for the canaries is no biggy

I'm more happy with Le Fondre at £1 million than Grabban at £3 million IMHO.

Agreed. Adam was a steal and proven at grabbing goals. He also bagged a few in the PL so much more excited. £3m for Grabban would now be better spent improving other areas.

Your an embarrassment.

This. If he had any self respect, he'd wind his neck in and go and play on Planet Swamp with his buddies.

CF47 is spot on re wages I reckon. Good to see Ole being a bit more ruthless.

Lol allen is that the best u can do.
Cant keep managers yet still move forward, dont spend stupid money on players unless they are half tidy, and a chairman who loves the club.
Somthing u only dream off.

I always see these kind of moves as a blessing in disguise.

Yes disappointing to lose a player you clearly wanted but he didn't want to be with you so as far as I'd be concerned good. Separates the wheat from the chaff.

I usually hope once a player rejects us for someone else he gets snapped in two, but I'm not bitter!

Im with you all the way with this.

In the past we wouldnt of had anyone else lined up but personally i would prefer le fondre. Ole clearly though grabban or his reps were playing a game and move on. Good biz!
