Ticket sales for 2014 UEFA Super Cup in Cardiff launched

UEFA has today launched the general public sales for the 2014 UEFA Super Cup to be held for the first time at the Cardiff City Stadium in Wales on Tuesday 12 August at 19.45 local time (20.45CET).

These tickets will be available to general public who would like to attend the UEFA Super Cup match. Supporters of the two finalists clubs, Real Madrid CF and Sevilla FC, will be served via their clubs directly.

The net capacity of the Cardiff City Stadium for the UEFA Super Cup will be 30,500 with more than 80% of the tickets being reserved for general public and supporters of the two participating clubs. The remaining tickets are allocated to the local organising committee, national associations, commercial partners and broadcasters, and to serve the corporate hospitality programme, also available via UEFA.com.

Interested fans can apply for tickets exclusively via UEFA.com, from 12.00CET on Thursday 5 June until midday on Friday 27 June. Tickets are available in three categories: Category 1: GBP 110, Category 2: GBP 75, Category 3: GBP 40. Once the sales window closes, every valid application will enter a ballot, irrespective of time of submission within the application period, to determine which fans are allocated tickets.

Applicants can apply for up to four tickets per person. They will be informed via email by 7 July whether their application has been successful or not. They will also be able to check the status of their application on the ticket portal using their dedicated username and password as of 7 July. Tickets will be shipped no later than the end of July by secure mail.

The administration fee per shipment covers handling and safe courier delivery of ticket(s) and is priced at GBP 10 within the United Kingdom, GBP 20 inside Europe and for the rest of the world. Payment can be made by credit card only.

You may need to make a new account for ticketing. I think it's a different account to the main Uefa site

You need to use a Visa credit card. They don't accept debit cards

I used a Mastercard and it said by using a Mastercard, I had double the chance of getting tickets.


Seems a bit unfair.

Piss take with the debit card fair play.
