Does that mean Garry monk is now best mates with Arsene Wenger (fabianski) as well as the Utrecht board.. OR maybe it is now clear that players sign for clubs even if their manager doesnt have a world wide reputation? These days the club speaks for itself. Love this signing.

I think an awful lot of people will have one eye on our results next year, whether they admit it or not is another thing
At the end of the day its where you are looking to get back to next year and there are several bets set up based on our performance next year so im sure some will be very interested indeed.
I said Utrecht in my OP, obviously i meant Twente

He is touted as the next Thierry Henry.

I heard of him when Inter milan signed him 2 or 3 years ago from Feyenoord - there was lots of hype - but didnt realise Twente signed him, the move doesnt seem to have worked out. 6 appearances and 1 goal for Inter.... The press tout him as the dutch Thierry Henry, lots of promise but made a big move too early by all accounts. Nice back up to Bony.

Apparently so, just passing on what is reported

One of many links below... Seems to actually be called "henry mark 2"
http://www.football.co.uk/arsenal/totte ... 3523.shtmlTottenham and Arsenal are interested in Feyenoord striker Luc Castaignos, the 18-year-old striker's agent has hinted. But the north London rivals have been warned that Inter Milan are already closing in on a deal for a player likened to Gunners legend Thierry Henry. Castaignos has caught the eye after a rich return of five goals in his last seven games since establishing himself in the first team at struggling Feyenoord.
Henry II: Feyenoord's Luc Castaignos has attracted interest from across Europe He was also one of the youngest players at the European Under 19 Championship in the summer and stated in a 1-0 win against England. Rated at £4million, his agent Arie Treffers said: 'Arsenal and Tottenham? There are many interested, but only Inter have made a firm move.' Treffers said Inter technical director Marco Branca had opened talks with his opposite number at Feyenoord, Leo Beenhakker, about a potential January deal. There will never be another Henry, that's for sure. Just had a look at his goal record, it is decent but nothing special, whether he can carry it on in the prem is to be seen. Looks abit lightweight to me could struggle in the prem.

In fairness, its probably referring to his playing style rather than his actual path of destiny to be one of the greatest players ever

I hope you sign Jonny Williams as rumoured, really promising Welsh player who is wasted under Pulis at Palace and would do well in your team.

Id be surprised if we sign him, i think his agent is just trying to agitate a move. I prefer the look of the other williams for Wales, Jonny wouldnt get enough games here. He needs to go back to the championship i think.

I'd definitely have him at Cardiff!

Back up for Bony or replacement for him?
Surprised that you lot are not taking a punt on Finnbogason as Bony looks likely to be going.

No, michu is not a striker.
We only have Bony and we need an actually capable understudy not the likes of Vasquez and shechter.

Personally I can see bony moving on once the release clause is met, as he has stated he wants to play for a big club.

There isnt a release clause. Just rumour.
If he has another good season then he will probably go next summer.

It's impossible for you to know whether there's a release clause or not, unless u work at Swansea of course.

I seem to remember Arsene buying Henry as a defensive midfielder. He spotted the potential and pushed him forward. If this Luc is anything like Henry in his playing style, surely he will emulate his goal scoring ability in time. The price tag suggests he is highly thought of.
I am one of the fans who will be watching all PL sides next season so this does interest me. Not because it is Swansea, but because it will be a factor if we get re-promoted. Anyone who says they won't be watching Match of the Day next season is a pleb in my opinion. In fact, it is easier to watch it when you aren't playing, especially as last year, we were tending to be beaten.
I'm still convinced that Bony will have some bids put in this summer though. He won't go to lower half clubs, but could be tempted by Champs Lge. Another interesting one.

Its not impossible i assure you
The same reason i knew who exactly was involved in the squabbles and exactly how i knew who wouldnt play for us again. I know people. He doesnt have a release clause.
