Are those seats in the away end at the front of the gaping big hole always been there? If so then that hole is pretty pointless and they might as well fill that corner in.

It'll look disgusting once the red seats are put in.

That holes needed.
It's not pretty pointless when there's two big f*cking craines in the middle of the pitch

Not sure if this has been mentioned before but do the club need to have a game before the Super cup to get safety cerificate for the stand?

So is the roof over the ninian going to provide more, or less, covering ?

When we first moved to the stadium we paid extra for our seats to be within the "drip line" so that we would, in the main, stay dry. If the roof has changed and more rows run the risk of being wet will those season tickets now get cheaper ?

Don't get me wrong I'd rather pay the higher amount and stay dry but surely someone at the club has thought about this ?

The roofline projects OUT to exactly the same point as the old roof. However it will obviously be higher.

To me that suggests more rows will get wet though.

Did the cranes jump over the big slab of concrete and the seats for the disabled area then? Clever cranes!

Yes, if the holes in the corners are for access then why put these seats in the way?

I'm almost certain that seats in the "lower" Ninian stand will be mainly uncovered because although the roof is the same width as the previous one, it is higher and starts further back. Wet in the rain burnt in the sun. Not an ideal combo really.

Glad I'm not in that stand to be honest.

The structure of the new roof is not fully put in place yet, more will be added to cover more of the stand, that is not the complete frame of the roof.

That explains it. Thanks. Still means that the roof will be higher though so if the wind is towards the stand, more will get wet.

Impressive how much has been installed though.

I agree, does not really matter how big the roof is, if its higher then there is more room for the wind to blow rain in to the stand.

Champions League facilities shame we are a Championship football team and non-league off the field.

We are in the back row in the ninian stand in line where the new roof ends (6 yard box) canton end.considering going up in top tier if only for the view.

I'm pretty sure there's a requirement for enough space in the stadium for emergency vehicles to access the pitch.so there needs to be a big enough gap for ambulances and fire engines to get in.

We really do have a fantastic stadium.
Having finally done all the PL grounds last season there may are obviously some bigger but there aren't many better.
I just hope we fans can do it justice next season.

It is impossible for any vehicles to drive through this corner as there is a huge block of concrete with seats on it towards the front

This stadium is going to look superb when the Canton and Family phases are complete.
Couldn't give two fuks how many fans are in there. As long as I'm one of them.

There has to be a gap presumably for emergency vehicles but never understood why there has to be such a big gap; other stadiums have a slither in comparison.

It is impossible for vehicles to drive through this corner, look at the second pic again.
