Watching the England game & I've never seen a more ordinary side from them in many years. Can't see them getting very far in Brazil.
Thoughts?

I watched for 5 mins in the first half and turned over.. Boring and uninspiring the little bit I saw but friendlies nearly always are......btw..Wembey is a superrb stadium but it doesn't come over very well from the TV coverage unlike the old Wembley stadium coverage .

Don't give a dam about them

could not agree more. a team which has no direction and players that want to get rid of the ball as soon as they get it. For a team thats 42nd in the world, they are certainly putting fear in the eyes of the england defence when they run direct at them.
Infact england could take a page out of their book and start running at the defenders with some pace and purpose.
I fear an embarrassing showing at Brazil from this poor side.

I hope they lose every game would be great, and there's every possibility of that happening.

Welbeck is so guff

They got a solid side but nothing special. The only players they have that actually have that bit of talent about them are both under 20 in Barkley and Sterling. They will struggle to get out of the group stage for me. I tell you what though but Rooney is certainly not a "World Class" player they all make him out to be, he just doesn't influence a side enough.

Agree regarding Rooney. So overhyped for me.

Hell no. I can only see it between Brazil or Argentina just down to the conditions and the fact that I believe both will still cheat their way to the title.

Friendlies are shite.....money making exercise if anything.
Why anyone would want to watch a non competitive game is beyond me.

Hate them they are glorified training matches. You can't judge shit by them. Something we agree on Chief

I like Rooney and still think he's a quality player.
England being ordinary and he has always been someone England look to for something.
Like for club United have been lacking world class and quality, Rooney has carried United and even though he always looks for the big wage packet he still gives it everything for United. Only one of few who seemed to try and get United higher.
Covers so much in a game, back and forward.. can't fault his work effort.

I've noticed there's been no big fanfare or build up in the media for this tournament. Mayve they're going with no expectations and just want to try and play well, which is probably the best way to look at it.
I love it when they come unstuck in a tournament and the media witch hunt begins - they end up going after someone who gets booked or stays up a little bit too late before a game etc.
Other than that, I'm glad they're in the tournament - it's boring without them.

It's a much better side than four years ago, that was the worst England side going to a major finals ever. I think they will get through to the knockouts, woy will have a plan. I wish them the best of luck but can't see them getting beyond the second round.

England doesn't have any world class players, and as a team they aren't disciplined enough to do well. And to be honest I don't care they are not very exciting to watch.
