This Season??

Looking at this season coming up and looking at the teams that you will play, i think there aren't that many teams that you could say will run away with the league.

So if or when you sell Caulker and Marshall i think the money you will get for them both would get you quality players that could get you back up the Prem.

I don't know exactly their value, but i would say Caulker ( 10-12 Million ) and Marshall around the same? Your thoughts on that??
It would be a huge loss to lose them both, but with that money you could make some great singing's.
If Caulker left who would you want as replacement? And same with Marshall?

The way i look at it you have to go through the bad to appreciate the good, and you guy's went through the bad last season, so rivalry aside good luck.

I'm not sure we would need to replace Marshall or Caulker. We have 2 reserve keepers plus 3 experienced centre backs without them.
I would just bank the money, if needed get in loanees.

Why do you care?

He's spoken about it already. Wants to stay, not keen on moving due to his daughter's schooling going through an important moment and the fact that he's only just signed a four year deal.

Club don't need to sell him and he doesn't want to go. However, if he was offered an opportunity that he couldn't turn down, he would go with the fans blessings.

As I said, Caulker will go, as will Medel. Funny that you didn't mention him in your original post.

i believe Marshall will stay as he will not go somewhere to be a number 2 pointless at this stage of his career

Marshall may find it difficult to stay if a big offer from a big club comes in.
The club would want the money. The sale of Caulker, Medel and maybe Marshall, Campbell and Mutch would bring in about £30million.
The only replacement we would need would be a big defensive midfielder. Loans could cover that.
In January see where the club is positioned and get loans in.
This way £30 million has been paid off the dictator's debts.
£16 million parachute payments and the £5 million from season tickets will get us through the season (at a rough guess).

Marshall has said the right things especially about his daughters schooling.

But a big club with big wages and he would go. His family could stay in the area for the few months it would take for exams to be over.

Marshall is very content here.......but will anyone meet our valuation.......15mill has been bandied around, and Arsenal.....no way in europe is Wenger of all people going to pay that for a reserve keeper........
