Gus Poyet of Sunderland is expected to put a bid in for Jordon Mutch within the next few days.
Cardiff City manager Ole intends to try and hold on to Mutch and has told him, that he wants him to stay and is a big part of his plans for next season.
Also Ole has asked Fraizer Campbell to stay and it's now up to Campbell.

Ole knows that he can't persuade Steven Caulker and Gary Medel to stay and has accepted that.
Personally I believe we need both Mutch and Campbell, both great additions to a promotion squad

I think keeping Mutch should be very high on Ole's list of priorities. As much as I'd like to keep Frazier too, I think he is better than the Championship. With the right partner last season, I think he would have scored a lot more goals. He's just not a lone frontman in my opinion. I also think Joe Ralls could become a key player next season, if selected

I'm not totally convinced by Mutch and Campbell. I have a feeling that Mutch is going to be one of those players that is frequently injured throughout his career and therefore will never reach his full potential. Campbell is no more than a decent forward, if he has an offer from the Premiership then he should take it. I wouldn't want him leading our line again in the Premiership, he has a great engine and is industrious but is not a good enough finisher, just my opinion.

I tend to agree. If we could get a decent fee for Mutch I would let him go.

Mutch - yes. Campbell - not so sure.
As the poster above says, Mutch is a little injury prone which means that we have yet to see the best of him for an extended period of time. Also, possibly for the same reason, he seems to disappear for big chunks within a game. I'd like to see him develop a bit further at Championship level.
I suspect that Campbell is going to be a soccer mercenary throughout his career, moving on to the next highest bidder on a regular basis. He could be great at Championship level, but only a lower half Premier League player. He just gives me the feeling that his first loyalty is very much to himself, not the club, and with the strike force we have now assembled we should probably let him go to Hull or wherever ( but not another Championship rival!)

Would prefer Mutch to stay but hes overated by City fans IMO. He seriously pissed me off in the run-in going hiding and looking like he couldnt give a shit so i wont be too bothered if he goes.
Campbell I am not too bothered, cant fault his workrate but hes not a clinical finisher. Snatches at chances and IMO is not a PL striker and the fact we didnt upgrade him last season is one of the reasons we find ourselves back in the Championship.

Have to agree with Polo and if the Mutch fee is around 6m like was said then id be really happy with that.

Mutch has a lot of upside but now that Daehli has shown his talent I'm not sure he is important enough to us to refuse a bid if it were in the region of £4 - 6m.
If we are to play more attacking with a typical No.10 and wingers, defensive minded CM need to be priority and if selling Mutch can fund that its a no-brainer.

Yea i like Mutch, but i also have doubts on his injury proneness and also he does go missing at times, hes not really a complete footballer yet. But hes young and could term into a gem soo.... I only want to see him go for a nice £££
And like about with Daehli showing his talent, if we can make some nice money off him i would let him go

Dropping down a division has made me less precious when it comes to players.
Although Campbell would be an asset in the Championship we must remember we only brought him in at this level because Maynard got injured early on. Maynard and Mason have been decent out on loan. Le Fondre is a decent replacement for Campbell at this level.
With Mutch I do feel he is due an injury. Not nice to say but in the Premier he was less likely to take a bad tackle, next season could be very different. We would miss his goals from midfield but hopefully they may not be needed to back up the strikers next year as they were this.

Mutch is a good player no doubt he has a good shot and some good quality but like others I do feel he went missing when it really mattered. He seems to lack fighting spirit the opposite of Campbell.
I am also not convinced his vision is good enough to be a good cam. Both whitts and daehli have better vision,

Mutch was one of the few players that was direct last season, he would burst through and shoot /score from time to time.........but his all round performance i think was wanting............there were times when people went past him as if he were a cone..........showed little interest if asked to do a job he didnt fancy........he isnt as comfortabl;e o the ball as Daehli, cant pass like Whitts, doesnt make enough tackles or have enough discipline to play as a DM............
worth a place in our squad..? yes without doubt
but as good as some think..no., ive even read England international..........if that were to happen he needs to find a couple of gears..........i hope he does

Aren't you worried about 150million pounds of debt?
As for Mutch, last year of his contract... If he doesn't want to extend, sell him.
Fri May 30, 2014 12:08 pm
I agree with Barry if he doesn't want to extend and there is an offer on the table go for it. It's a pity because he really dropped his form at the end and became anonymous. But when he was good he was very good, could have been a big part of this season thou.
We're going to need probably 2/3 midfielders if he goes, depending on how Ole wants to play.

Mutch is a player with some pedigree – and when fit he has occasionally been a star for us. The Fulham game away was such a glimpse. However he is injury prone, and sadly went missing at the end of last season. He wasn’t the only one! I would like to see him stay – he is still a youngster and is likely to continue to get stronger and better – he would be a dangerous Championship asset for us next season – if he stays fit.
Campbell – I don’t think we can be too critical of his finishing ability after the team showing last year. He has proved his Championship credentials already – and his goal against Manchester United at home underlined how he can actually score a clinical goal with ease. He also worked his socks off and never let the team down. Good luck to him whatever happens – he deserves our best wishes.

campbell for me , is not a natural goal scorer.. hes an eager runner, but never seems to be in the right position..jordan mutch is a good player but i would take 6 million for him, i think he will spend most of his career fighting injuries, so never quite up to full speed..i trust ollie to find some gems for a lot less money, or better still use ralls.

s'land got gomez now, no need for mutch, mutch is staying

in fairness,Campbell had lots of lost causes to chase and not many cutting balls to get on the end of.....lets face it,we were poor...

Totally agree on Campbell, but he could do a job in the Championship. I like Mutch and I think he was our best player in the PL.
Ole is doing the right thing in bringing in more fire power, we never had a goalscorer in the PL. Im not convinced with Kim and I think medel would've been more effective in the back four last season.

Some Sunderland fan posted Mutch to Sunderland for a laugh on their MB.
Doubt there's nothing in it.
