Stadium car park season tickets

Anyone know when the letters are coming out for the car park season ticket renewals. I've always had one but not heard anything yet.

I phoned the ticket office this morning, (Thursday), and they told me that the letters are going out over the next few days, to current car-park permit-holders. We should get them by early next week. The usual month to renew.

Also says that "car parking hangers will be sent out via signed for special delivery and a surcharge of £6 will be added to the cost!!" £6 to send a piece of cardboard - they're having a laugh!!!

No - it wasn't that comment that really got to me - its the additional £6 they are charging to send the blooming thing

how much are they?..i hope to get one this year as ST sales are almost down to half,should be spaces

They put them up to £149 last season for the Premiership and have now stuck to that price!

That's a good point! Forgot about the extra four games.

Absolute rubbish, last season they were £139 the season before in the championship they were £129 so its up £20 from the time we were in the championship plus the £6 cheeky sods

4 of us have always shared the car park season ticket cost & taken our turn to drive, but we got so fed up having to wait so long to get out that we are not renewing it this season.
There are plenty of places within Canton to park (for free) AND get home sooner.

Mine came today, too. Personally, think its worth it, especially if you're driving some distance, and there are two or three of you in the car. Usually hold back for a while after the game, let the traffic out. Easier to exit onto Sloper Road from block A.

That's my point - they won't let you pick it up from the ticket office, they are sending them all out by special delivery which costs us £6

Are they worth it?

Personally, Colin, I think they are worth it. £149 divided by 23 works out at about £6.50 a game. They also let you use the permit for cup games and friendlies, but not Wales games. There are usually two or three of us in the car, sometimes four. We can park in block A, and our STs are for gate 3 or 4. Just a short walk. We used to park in the athletics stadium, but its much easier. My dad is 85, and much closer for him, (and me too!). You need to get there half an hour before kick off, but its much less hassle, especially if you are travelling some distance.

Depends how many times you will use the permit, really. The £6 postage is just to make sure it gets to you safe. They are replaceable if they get damaged, but not if they get lost.

Getting out after the game can take a bit of time, but after about half an hour it's fine. Traffic is busy on Saturday afternoons anyway. You know that your car will be safe, and no nasty surprises like parking tickets!

Hope that helps. Others may disagree, but I like a quiet life. Supporting CCFC is stressful enough, without worrying about parking!

Most games this season we have paid a fiver to park in the bus depot.

As you say, a lot depends on the number of games you attend but I thought it would be cheaper than they are asking.
