BLUEBIRDS COFFEESHOP - AMSTERDAM

Thu May 29, 2014 1:02 pm

Im going to Amsterdam next week (was going to go to the game but after seeing ticket prices i'm just going to watch it in a bar)

I've been 3 times before but i'd never heard of The Bluebirds Coffeeshop, someone told me it has links to City (possibly a city fan owning it) but can't find anything online about it.

Anybody know the story there? I'd love to watch the wales game there if it was a cardiff coffeeshop

I have been there but cannot for the life of me remember where it is

It's on the middle of a shopping street at the top of some stairs. A bit further outside of the centre. From what I remember (Not much of theose couple of days) it didnt seem to have anylinks to CCFC. They did have great toasties though

Have a great time! If youve been before then you know how much of a great city it is! One of my favourite places to visis

this will be my fourth time :) first for the missus though. absolutley buzzing about going again, not even that bothered about not going to the game. i was in the city for ajax v feynord (sp?) and the atmosphere around the city was amazing, i know its not going to be the same for a friendly against us but even just sitting in a bar watching it with some locals (and with any luck one or two welsh people) should be interesting in itself.

i'll probably check it out anyway just because looking at the reviews etc it seems pretty good...i'm sure they do have great toasties ;)

Never heard of it but havent been for years. I remember wearing my Wales rugby top in the dam one day because Wales were playing Japan when some English mugs walked past saying what the f**k is that c**t wearing that for and giving it the big i am. Was only 18 at the time and on my own but the faggots were offered a chance to remove it for me and declined. Why would they bother to complain about a Wales shirt when I wasn't even in their country. Football mentality at it finest, get a group of men to start on a lone kid and be all intimidating about something that has nothing to do with them and pussy out when offered the chance. English mugs.

As well being the best named coffee shop it also has a great variety at the hash counter. Not sure about the welsh ownership but a nice welsh lady did work there as recent as two years ago, its in the Newmarket (sic) area and well worth a visit here`s the link to their FB page for more info such as directions etc.

cheers  my favorite coffeshops from the last few times i've been are Hill Street Blues and The Dolphin. Hoping this stands up to them (also hoping its showing the match as not many coffeeshops there show football)

Went there a couple of years back. Fell upon it when doing the tourist bit. It's nearby Rembrandt's House. So just ask directions for that.

No link to us though. It's actually called Bluebird Coffe Shop, no 'S'. I'm willing to go shares though if we want to buy it and add the 'S'. :D

AlwaysBBlue,

Thank you for your interest in holding a share in our bluebirds Coffee Shop Amsterdam.

Unfortunately your application was not successful. Your ideas were promising until you mentioned red seats.

Don't darken our door again.

same, flying from bristol with the missus. not going to the game though, think it was about 50 euros per ticket (and im not in the FAW away supporters club so thats an extra 20) and for a friendly i just couldn't stretch to that...looking forward to watching it local though =D
