' MALKY MACKAY & MICHAEL LAUDRUP '

Ex-Swansea City and Cardiff City bosses Malky Mackay and Michael Laudrup are short odds with bookmakers for the Southampton managerial job vacated by Mauricio Pochettino

David Moyes barely gets a mention.

Laudrup and Mackay are also in the running for the Celtic job, with Laudrup reportedly already sounded out about whether the Parkhead role would interest him.

Malky is the opposite to what their statement says they are after, so hes got no chance there. Laudrup could be a good shout

Hes been linked with about 10 jobs since he got the tin tack but no-one has taken a punt.
Hes the next Aidy Boothroyd.

if you want dull as dishwater football malkys your man but Southampton fans won't put up with that. Can't see them going for malky, not in a million years,no chance.

I like Southampton and enjoy watching them play so I hope Malky dont take over but I do hope he gets a good prem job.

Celtic would be a good way back for him to try and rebuild his rep.

I can't see either one of them getting the southampton job, as for celtic, lets be honest a one eyed toad could step in there and win them the spl, it's been rubbish for years and now there's no rangers, hearts or hibs.

malky's got no chance with either, Laudrup possibly.

As someone above said, Malky is the next Aidy Boothroyd

ODDSCHECKER.......there are 12 candidates at shorter odds than Malky for Southampton............the style of football he adopts, plus the many many questions his statement asks must both be huge put offs............if he couldnt get the Norwich job , i dont think he is going to get one..

Still a few jobs out there. WBA, Brighton, Celtic.

Mackay WILL NOT get a prem job anytime soon, he needs to prove his worth first, no prem club will touch him with a 10ft barge pole after last seasons business in the transfer market, unless they enjoy burning cash.

I really don't understand how Norwich didn't go for Malky? ex player, apparently fantastic young proven manager, his boring playing style would not have been a problem as Norwich have never been known for flare. Its a easy geographical move from his Hertfordshire home. Everything should have pointed to malky getting that job? It really makes you wonder Hmmm, as they say...

he was actually 1 to 8 fav the day before they made a decision.......my opinion is the fact Norwich ended up not going with him after seemingly being so keen, and as you say it looking like the perfect fit...will put others off..

Boring football is one of the reasons they got rid of Hughton and in the announcment of Neil Adams the club statement , and Neil Adams himself, touched on the fans expecting a certain brand of football.

I am with you though I was shocked they didnt go for Malky.

Malky stock is very high in the media and general public outside of Cardiff but obviously any club looking to employ a manager on a multi million pound contract would do a bit more research. As Cardiff fans we know his philosophy isnt all that appealing when you scratch away the surface.

Ive got a number of clients I talk football with and they are shocked when I say I dont rate Malky. Similairily im friendly with a Spurs fan whos is a ST, and also got a couple of clients Spurs fans, and when I say Tim Sherwood was treated harshly they all totally disagree and hated him.

lol........your living a parallel life to me......i get the Malky remarks off anyone i havent seen for a while....youd have stayed up with Malky..........and yes they are shocked at my response.......they think every single Cardiff fan was in love with him....its quite strange...ill ask did you watch any of our games...and the answer is always the same.......YES you were shit..??????.........and my closest friend is a Spurs fan.........and yep he and his mates couldnt wait to get shot of Sherwood either............we had a better record and goal diff than spurs against top 4 clubs btw......

No chance of him getting the Southampton job and might be in with a shout for the Celtic job but if it's him against Laudrup I expect Laudrup to win every time.

Malky's probably applied, but realistically he has no chance of even getting to the interview stage. As for Laudrup, it could be a perfect match for both parties.

Sir Milky of Hoofball loses out on yet another job. Getting embarrassing now. Lost out on the Norwich job to a youth team coach and now the Celtic job to the ROI assistant. So much for a glittering CV

Looks like clubs and media aren't being the fools now, Malky portrayed to be the innocent one when he played a role in his own sacking and messed up just not to the extent of Tan.

I hope that MM when at his next club changes his style a bit, mix it up. He has got the potential, does the media side well.

Just wonder what would have happened if there was pressure on him and his style from the supporters.
