Now Vorm is Shit.
Fabianski is a Top Keeper and Marsh is overpriced.

Your side as a whole has been shit this season.
(Better than us granted) but shit nonetheless.
All accross the park there has been problems.
Even on the training pitches![]()
Vorms head may of been turned a while back upon whispers of Brenda's interest.
Also with the changing of managers, added pressure of Europe, and infighting of different players,
Many of your boys have played "within themselves".
Not because they've suddenly become shit.
There's a lot more to this game than just kicking a ball around.

Although this thread does kinda prove a point.. When We did the Cardiff/Swansea combined 11, I seem to remember a few Jacks mocking anyone who put Marshall in ahead of Vorm.

really? Don't remember reading anyone saying that. I'd be amazed, seeing as Marshall performed heroics the season we were champions too.
vorm of last season had a similar season to the one marshall just had so on that basis the choice was obviously vorm.
I don't think he's done anything of note since his debut season.
Vorm has gone backwards at a rate of knotts and marshall has excelled
Marshall has excelled for 2 seasons now. It's not just his last season. .

yep i remember it well, it was often discussed when deciding what areas needed to be strengthened when going into the prem.

vorm outperformed marshall prior to this season. No doubt about that. Vorm was one of the most rated keepers in the orem last year.

At the beginning of the season I thought Vorm was better than Marshall but a season is a long time in football Vorm had gone backwards whilst Marshall had excelled , of course Marshall is overpriced at 15 mill ffs , as was Joe Allen nice if you can get it though , can't see arsenal paying it mind

Not that it matters, looks like you've sold him and brought in a better keeper than him for free. Good business.

Yes I would like to keep him but 4 mill and a top international keeper coning in on a free is nit to bad.

Good buy for Swansea though, just not an improvement or even like for like, especially if the defence is weakened with the sale of Williams.

By that thinking he also sees Vorm as better than Marshall then or he'd be after him , strange reasoning

Not really, if Vorm goes to Liverpool he's going to be the number 2 behind Mingolet. Marhsall would cost a lot more just to be a number 2 keeper.
Either way Jacks would have done good business selling Vorm and getting Fabianski. To be honest I don't particularly rate Fabianski

in the 11/12 season i remember a few people wondering whether we should have heaton ahead of marshal as no1 due to his heroics in the carling cup. but after 12/13 everyone saw we made the right choice in selling heaton (as he was still probably too good to be a no2 keeper). I don't remember one city fan (on here or elsewhere) suggesting we needed a new keeper, you've either made that up or you're remembering wrong

Nope, i distinctly remember many discussions on whether you needed a new keeper. And also in the "can they step up" threads were never conclusive, some yes, some no, some jury out.

78 appearances for Arsenal. 23 clean sheets. Concedes on average a single goal a game.
