Hindsight is a wonderful thing but I'm so glad we never forked out £8 million for Thomas Ince.

Yep, malky chased him for months to try and get him to sign, imagine that double on your cv, Cornelius and ince for a combined price of £18 million  and people still question why he was sacked.

Sir Alex Ferguson paid £15 m for Zaha.
So he wasted twice what Malky "wasted" on Cornelius.

However, Fergy was managing United who have a considerably better team than us and won the league. Big difference from a newly promoted Championship side who have been desperate for a goal scorer for 3 years and you waste £8 million on a kid who hasn't done anything to justify the price or wages we offered him.

Not according to vt it wasn't, with Cornelius signing on fee and his agents fee it came to £10 million + 8= 18
