Crystal Palace: Gabbidon, Moxey & Parr among 12 players released

Crystal Palace have released 12 players in an end-of-season clear-out.

Defenders Dean Moxey, Danny Gabbidon and Jonathan Parr, striker Aaron Wilbraham and goalkeeper Neil Alexander will not have their contracts renewed.

Youngsters Osman Sow, Ibra Sekajja, Quade Taylor, Derek Tieku, Ross Fitzsimons, Tom King and Alistair Gordon have also been released.

However, the club wants to keep out-of-contract players Julian Speroni, Marouane Chamakh and Kagisho Dikgacoi.

Goalkeeper Speroni, striker Chamakh and midfielder Dikgacoi are in talks over new deals to stay at Selhurst Park.

Full-backs Moxey and Parr have each made more than 100 appearances for the club.

Parr for sure, really rate him at Championship level

Parr or Gabbidon would be ok, would only bring them in if I had to though.

What a waste; there were glimpses of Darcy to be a good footballer. Especially when Wales played England away. Just a big shame to see him throw his career down the drain.

Would take Parr definitely. Then we would have good options at left and right back as Fabio can cover both if needed.

Agree.

Only one that interests me is Parr but we I am happy with what we got in the FB area.

Gabbidon should retire coming here is nothing short of lunacy it scares me that he's still playing for wales.

The problem is we only have like 4 centre backs of any note that are eligible for Wales and one of those only declared for us this season.

Get passed Williams, Collins, Chester and Gabbidon and who else is there?

No sense in picking a young centre half just because he's young if he can't get into his club side.
