Kimbo?

Tue May 27, 2014 9:40 pm

Kimbo was lauded in some quarters after promotion as the one player who would be influential in the prem and the one who could make miracles happen. During the season he was often chastised for his poor performances.

What are your opinions of him going into next season, will it be hero or zero?

Hope he has a decent WC and we sell him. Daehli and Mason are better in his role

Mason is nowhere near Kim in that role. He can only play effectively up top, ideally with someone next to him to play off

Hope he has a great world cup, then sell him.A good player but to light weight for the game we play. Not seen him improve since he joined us, time to move him on.

Shows flashes of brilliance but not consistent enough.

Done well in the second half of our promotion season I thought he'd be our star player in the prem

I thought this too. Him and Gunnarson didn't seem to make the step up the way I thought they would

I'll be honest and say that I thought he'd take the premier league by storm last season and he was probably the biggest disappointment for me, especially after the man city game.
This is probably a bit of a sweeping generalisation but there seems to be something in the Korean psyche (when it comes to football anyway) that prevents them becoming the players they should be. I often thought this of Park when he was at man it'd and I often think it's Kimbo's lack of self belief that prevents him from stamping his authority on a game.

Kimbo is now Kimgo and don't come back, does some nice spins on the ball and that's about it, can't tackle, can't pass, can't shoot.

I thought he was going to be class in the prem league! Started with a bang against man city then rapidly faded and struggled with form!
