I've intervened a few times and although I never got arrested the girl would turn on me most of the time. Had to have stitches in the back of my head one time from a well aimed stiletto while holding her boyfriend down to give her a chance to leave.

I hate to say this but if yours goes to court don't be surprised if she gives evidence against you.
