' CASHING IN ON SUCCESS '

Mon May 26, 2014 1:51 pm

Just been reading through some of the stories in the papers and came across as this piece.

Gareth Bale will get the Cristiano Ronaldo and Lionel Messi treatment this week - when he goes on a personal post-season tour of Indonesia.

Having scored in Real Madrid's Champions League final success, Bale will jet out to Jakarta for two days at the end of the week with city officials closing roads along which he will be paraded.

The former Tottenham Hotspur star will attend a meet-and-greet event at the Ritz Carlton Hotel on Saturday, when guests will pay around £150 a ticket to spend time with Real's latest galactico and have pictures taken. Bale is poised to earn around £2.5 million from the two days.

Bloody hell, not bad for 2 days 'work'.

Good luck to the lad, seems to have his head screwed on. :ayatollah:

Just imagine if our scouts had picked him up

I believe if he'd come along 6 or 7 years later he may have been in our academy. The club has grown a lot since then so it's no surprise a bigger club spotted him instead

I find it quite obscene actually. Collect fee and hand over to charity. How much money does he need/want?

He benefited more being at Southampton.

Think Bale has had an incredible season at Madrid.

2 winning goals for their 2 trophies, that's how you announce yourself to Madrid.

22 goals and 20 assists.

Not bad for no pre-season, injured for a month at the start and not knowing the language or team mates. They guy is just going to get better and better.
