If Marshall is going then Pantilimon is a good shout. Collison is too accident prone but to get us back up I think Ridgewell and Sidwell would do a good job. Not too many realistic targets in that list.

Don't know if he's planning on retireing but Georgios Karagkounis is an awesome midfielder and would be worth a 1 or 2 year contract.

There are some very talented players on that list. Could easily build a championship winning team from that

Bendtner and Heitinga have inflated egos and probably wouldn't go to a Championship club regardless of lacking the talent for a higher level.

ive always liked Parr, and Koren would be fantastic, but probably a little too similar to whitts.

If Marshall goes then the only goalkeeper that i would replace him with would be Kieron Westwood, who is a brilliant goalkeeper. I cannot believe that he was released by Sunderland. When he was at Coventry he was easily one of the best keepers outside if the Prem. Also, when he was given a chance at Sunderland he did really well, he was just really unlucky with injuries. When Medel goes i would go for Clayton from Huddersfield to replace him. I would also go for Chuks Aneke from Arsenal who is out of contract this summer and he is highly rated by Wenger as he offered him a new contract but Aneke rejected it as he wants first team football. So a small fee would be necessary to get him as he has come through the Arsenal youth. I feel that we also need an experienced young centre half, someone like Maguire who has played over a hundred games for Sheff Utd and he is still 20/21 years of age. I also think that we need a right footed, right sided winger, as we only have Kadeem Harris at the club who fits both those criteria. Yes, Noone is great on the right wing as he can go inside and outside the defender but we need a lot of different options throughout the squad if we want to get straight back to the Prem. If Hsrris is finally given a chance - which i think he deserves - then we wont need to go out and sign a right winger. There are some really good young and hungry players around in the lower divisions and i do think that we have an experienced enough squad as it is, so we could take a few chances on signing a couple of highly rated younger players. All in all, if we do sign Macheda in the next few days, he along with Burghaller (sp?) and Guerra would take us up to three new signings so far this summer, but i still feel that we will need another 4/5 players, as no doubt we will lose a couple of our current players. Hopefully, they will be the ones that we receive good fees for so that the money from the player sales can go into our summer transfer kitty.
