George Thorne

Impressed me a lot for Derby today, always seemed to be there to break up the play and start attacks with his crisp, accurate passing. Thorne was breaking into the West Brom team before suffering a horrendous injury and went to Derby on loan to rebuild his fitness. If West Brom are willing to loan him out again next season to continue getting games under his belt, I would have him in a shot. We are lacking a good defensive midfielder with energy who can pass the ball.

Would be a very good signing and the type of player we need in the middle

He'll play a part for them next season the way he's performed.

WBA will appoint a British based manager and I have no doubt they will use Thorne

Thorne and Bamford were 2 huge reasons why derby made play offs. Without them they would be mid table. The loan system in my opinion is wrong and should only be a short term thing to cover injuries.
