After days of speculation that Cardiff City striker Jo Inge Berget could be heading home to Norway, the move has been rubbished by Strømsgodset's sporting manager.
He might have struggled to get Premier League action at Cardiff City but Norwegian striker Jo Inge Berget will not be heading home to Strømsgodset, insists their manager Jostein Flo.
Rumours of Berget's exit from the Cardiff City Stadium have been gathering pace all week with Strømsgodset understood to be front runners for his signatures.
But the 23-year-old former Molde frontman, who only played once in the Premier League for the Bluebirds, will hope to make his mark in the Championship.
Former Sheffield United striker Flo, said of the talk: "It's all wrong, and speculation out of this world.
"You might as well ask whether we are signing Ronaldo.
"We are as close to a transition for him, says Flo TV 2 Sport."
