Ole Gunnar Solskjær welcomed the arrival of Guido Burgstaller and Javi Guerra this week, with the Bluebirds boss also stating that quality Cardiff City Stadium additions will continue, demonstrating the firm desire from principal shareholder Tan Sri Vincent Tan and the club to challenge for honours over the next twelve months.
“These two signings are a statement of intent from a club that’s looking to push for promotion next season,” Ole said. “It was a tough season for Cardiff City in the Premier League, but we enjoyed being able to play against some of the best teams in the world. To have the chance of getting back to the top flight and to grow as a club we’ll need quality players who can help us achieve our ambitions.
“I’m very pleased that we’ve signed Guido. He’s a dynamic, attacking midfielder with pace and power. What’s more he has a fantastic attitude and a real appetite for football.
“He’s a positive player who can score goals and create goal-scoring opportunities for his team-mates. He works extremely hard for the team and I’m sure that with his work-rate and attitude Guido will be a very positive addition to the squad, adding to our attacking options next season.
“Javi was very impressive for Real Valladolid last season - he’s aggressive, powerful and a natural goal-scorer. It’s no secret that we lacked goals in the team last season and it’s a fact that if we are to compete at the right end of the table in the Championship, we’ll need players who can find the back of the net. I’m happy that we’ve been able to bring in Javi’s goal-scoring instincts and experience to add to the quality players already in the team.
“We’ll continue working to bring in other players to add to the squad and hope to be able to announce more names in the weeks ahead.
“We want to conduct our business as soon as possible, bringing in players to demonstrate our ambitions and intent to the fans and the players already here, showing everyone that we want to challenge for promotion next season.”

A big well done to Ole, 2 signings in 2 days in May, quick to get players in and he won't take knock backs and play the waiting game.
Grabban is on Holiday ATM.
MM take notes.

A high profile manager like Ole will find it a lot easier to sign quality players simply because of his fame. Ole has a much better chance than Malky ever did of building a great team, no dig at Malky intended.

This is the time to be looking at youngsters from teams like Chelsea, Man City & Barcelona. They have some good quality players that haven't yet broken into the first team. I'm sure we could get some very good players on loan....players like Kenneth Omeruo for example who can play centre-half or right back.
