Love the optimism but seriously, it is not a simple league and results are unpredictable, just like our owner

Im very confident. People may not like VT but he knows how important it is to get back up. Hopefully he will then sell.

I hope the fans dont make it a season long protest. I want a winning team and for us to be then sold.

Hearing that chant "we'll always be blue" is getting a tad repetitive.

He has finally slightly budged and acknowledged the fans are not happy. In no way should we ease up now, We'll always be blue will be ringing out again next season. :thumbright: :bluescarf: :ayatollah:

Let's hope Ole puts his stamp on things in pre-season and gets the squad to buy into his philosophy. We've got players that can do damage but they must be utilised correctly, long old season is the Championship aswell.

But we aren't, not for 3 seasons at least.

The time was from the beginning, not when we were facing relegation.

The rebrand came with promises.. bar maybe the extension of the stand he hasn't delivered on any of them.

We have every right to demand our colours back.

He promised to invest millions into the team, he did. Malky a nice guy, but messed up.

Did he promise premiership football?

I want the colours back, I'm a little cynical as only a tiny fraction complained. A lot more got involved once they realised we were going down. (Do me a favour Chuckles....just move on from this thread)

If we are successful, VT will sell. We need to be successful.

Finally, When we were at Burnley before we went up.........was anyone singing "We'll always be blue?"

Do you get my point now. It's not half as important as people make out it is. The Echo campaign is a company decision based on extra readers etc.

We will have a strong XI it's going to be about depth for the season

A 'second' XI could currently look like
Lewis
McNaughton Connolly Turner John
Kim Ralls Eikrem Burgstaller
Berget
Maynard

Strengthening that will give us a great shot.

no.

no, a lot of people realised that tan was starting to move away from what he had promised. That has seen the numbers rise.

If we are successful, VT will sell. We need to be successful.

Finally, When we were at Burnley before we went up.........was anyone singing "We'll always be blue?"

yep. Several. It was also in full force when Tan & Borley walked out with the trophy at the end of last season vs Bolton... I'm sure you will remember.

Do you get my point now. It's not half as important as people make out it is. The Echo campaign is a company decision based on extra readers etc.

maybe the identity isn't important to you, but it is to me & evidently countless others. :thumbright:

I'm Looking forward to winning some games,

I think its a good balance, getting smashed all around the pitch every game in the premiership is unhealthy to watch

Really it is...

Re: We are going to walk the championship

Not even the end of May and Ole is already bringing in some class players. In January he had very little to work with....I think we all know that January was not a good time to pick up bargains but he's now got over 2 months to sort the team out and I really feel we will have a cracking squad once he's finished. I don't know if we'll walk it but I think we will be up there and will play with a lot more flair than the last time in the Championship.

I've got absolutely no idea how we are going to do, but can't wait for the season to start and see how good Ole's signings are, they definitely look interesting .....,,,,,,,

Il be taking up corals offer of £25 free bet if Argentina or Brazil win the World Cup, undecided between Uruguay or Germany at the moment and if either of the 3 win il then be putting us to win the league. Was hoping for more than 8/1 though

Rubbish...............

The same deluded attitude that was evident last season,

We should be beating teams like Newcastle, Villa, Palarse, Hull, Stoke at home

Wrong, we're going to walk fook all.

At least some on here have some common sense. The Championship can be unforgiving.

I am more concerned over walking away from the championship into league one. Bigger, richer and far more united clubs have continued the descent....

When you put your weekly allowance from your left to your right pocket, do you still owe your left pocket money?

That is mainly because the money they owed belonged ot 3rd parties.

Our debt belongs to basically the guy that pulls the strings. Someone who would not miss it all if he decided to knock us on the head. Fortunately for us he comes from a society where loss of face is a lot worse than £100 million. Specially as its pocket money to him.

Next season will be interesting. Tan believes he can buy promotion. It looks like he is giving Ole the chance. For his own pride he needs Ole to win the championship. After all he has said about Malky if Ole does not deliver then Tan is going to lose face a lot more than we will appreciate.

No offence taken.

I got no satisfaction watching us get promoted in red 2 seasons ago and being honest I can't see it being any different this time around if we do pull it off. Just how I feel about it all. However if we return to blue then those feeling will disappear into oblivion.

This is funny, I saw this exact thread on the Blackburn Rovers forums in 2012.

Wouldn't be surprised if the same one did the rounds at Wolverhampton, Birmingham, Bolton as well. Plus a hundred more.

Save your arrogance for when it's actually done.

2 signings that have never played in England you mean. How you can say they are "very good signings" when they haven't kicked a ball in England yet is baffling. Burgstaller is 25 and has only had 7 caps for an average Austrian nation which worries me. You would think looking at his Youtube footage, he would easily have the talent to have 30-40 caps by now so the question is, why hasn't he? I think both players will be exciting to watch and Guerra looks a great signing, but whether Guerra will be able to adapt to the English game remains to be seen. We will have to wait and see.
