Jo Inge Berget?

Could he be Bellamy's replacement as he is the same type of forward.

So far he has shown nothing to suggest that he will get anywhere near the first team.

He may come good in time but at the moment he looks more David Bellamy than Craig Bellamy.

He has played 45 minutes in a fa cup tie which we won . He actually played quite well .
Compared to some of our forward players last year he showed he is world class compared to that shower of shit !

I don't get why everyone slates him , he is not match fit he played quite well in the cup game , he wasn't terrible as people seem to make out , I think he will be a decent player for us with a good pre-season..

Norwegian Media claims Berget is going to reigning norwegian champions Strømsgodset. He played there (on loan from Udinese) a few years ago. Norwegian Media is usually very spot on when it comes to transfers.

EDIT: According to DT (Local Newspaper in Drammen, where the club is based) the contract is agreed, and there's negotiations between the clubs regarding the transfer fee - which is unlikely to be of any noticeable size. Link (Norwegian): http://www.dt.no/godset/berget-pa-vei-t ... -1.8441514

Plays one game and he's crap apparently...

I think it'd benefit him if he left though to be honest, maybe in a loan capacity

Thanks for your expert opinion on him after watching him for 45 minutes, like the rest of us

How is he the same type of forward? Hes a foot taller, has very little pace and is more of a target man :ole:

Not a target man, more of a link up man between mid and attack

What I meant was that Berget is like a in behind striker like Bellamy was. :ayatollah:

And this is what Stromsgodset´s coach has to say about it: - I haven´t spoken to Jo Inge Berget at all (...). If J.I.B. wants to play for Stromsgodset, it is of course very interesting, but we regard it as highly unlikely.

Personally, I would be very surprised if he is leaves already now, as he knows he´ll get his chances next season.

In VG,(http://direkte.vg.no/studio/vgsporten) Stromgodset´s coach rejects the rumours that J.I.B. is on his way to Stromsgodset. According to the newspapers, the rumours are also rejected by "sources close to J.I.B. himself. Wouldn´t make any sense for Jo Inge to be leaving now anyway.

Very little pace? Berget is certainly not a slow player. I have seen him play for Norway U21 and he got good speed. Just watch some of his goals here, he can get his speed up to a level i say is higher than very little pace.
