The Langston Settlement-Does anyone know....

Thu May 22, 2014 9:19 am

If the stadium naming rights were returned back to the club as part of the deal agreed between Tan and Sam Hammam? I'm assuming that they would have been and if so I am surprised that the stadium has not yet been renamed, especially with all the publicity good or bad we receive on an almost weekly basis. Of course it would have made more sense to have done this as we entered the Premier League and any sponsorship deal would probably be worth half as much now, so I guess that Tan may well leave it until we have another crack at the Premiership. Another indication I guess, that Tan is not that concerned about the money.

I mentioned this last night, people forget about this! If you look at his company portfolio we are a very small part and he could easily forget about the city without losing any sleep.

Yes, sam gave up the naming rights as part of the pay off deal, as for the stadium sponsorship i heard there was one almost ready to be signed but that was based on us staying in the premiership so maybe it will be left on hold until/if we return to the premier.
