There's a massive divide between the top 2 clubs and the rest of la liga on how tv revenue. Barca and Real get the lions share of the tv deal and are also allowed to set up their own over seas tv rights deal. Even though Athletico won La Liga this year they are still in massive debt and constantly have to sell their best players
