' Cardiff City Striker wanted by duo,but City want him to stay '

West Brom are the latest club to be linked with a move to sign Cardiff striker Frazier Campbell, who is also wanted by Hull.

The Bluebirds would like him to stay but the chances of that are looking slim as West Brom are now said to be keen. And Hull City, where Campbell spent a season on loan at from Manchester United, have also been strongly linked with a move as they prepare for the Europa League next term.

The 26-year-old frontman is one of many players who have a release clause in their Cardiff contracts which allows them to leave following relegation, if any club meets the right valuation.

With six goals during the past campaign Campbell has hardly been prolific but City want him to stay and spearhead an assault on the Championship next term. "Frazier's done fantastically for us, not just this season but the previous season," said chairman Mehmet Dalman. "He's very much loved at the club and we want him to stay."

Cardiff's exodus could begin this week as West Bromwich Albion show interest in Fraizer Campbell.

Albion have agreed a three-year deal with Craig Gardner and he will officially join on June 1 after being released by Sunderland but they also want Campbell, 26, who has a release clause in his contract.

Hull and Sunderland have also shown interest in Campbell who wants to stay in the Premier League. He will be followed out the door by Gary Medel who is wanted by Valencia. However, Cardiff have rebuffed Valencia's initial cheeky attempt to take their £11m signing on loan.

Swiss side Servette are showing interest in Craig Bellamy while Tottenham and Arsenal are keen on goalkeeper David Marshall and Southampton are among those chasing centre-back Steven Caulker.
