Martin Odegaard(15) scores in tippeligaen

Tue May 20, 2014 2:54 pm

15 year old Martin Odegaard has made 3 appaerances for Stromsgodset already with the season just starting in the Norwegian top league. on his debut he got an assist. His second appearance was against vaalerenga where they lost 3-0 but the manager and coah at vaalerenga were so impressed by the young 15 year old that they shaked his hand and congratulated him.
Martin odegaards coac told him to practice on his shootin, because it was his weakest ability, 3 weeks later, he scored a goal against sarpsborg at 16.th of may, and he's been gangin in goals at practice ever since

Shows how bad the league is when school children are scoring goals.

The 3-5 best teams in the Norwegian premier is as good as bottom 5-ish teams of the EPL, the middle of the table in the Norwegian premier about lower-top half of championship, the lower half range from bottom of Championship level to league 1 standard or worse.

TL;DR - the best Norwegian teams could cut it in the Championship perhaps even promote. But the bottom is so far behind England it lowers the average level of the league.

Not at all, both Rosenborg and Molde have recently beat, drawn and played well against teams in Europe that would crush Norwich on any given day of the week. Though Tromsø was pathetic; but at the time they played Tottenham and Anzhi they were already relegated from the Norwegian league and shouldn't have been playing in Europa League anyway, also economic danger and changing coaches, dropping players, etc.

Anyway, Ødegaard is still the biggest Norwegian talent ever. Twice the player Dæhlie was at his age.

Last season was the worst Europe representation from Norway in 20 years. And yes I said 3-5 teams, I have no doubt that if Molde, Rosenborg, Strømsgodset, Viking and maybe Odd were to play multiple matches against teams like West Ham, Aston Villa, Norwich, Cardiff and the like, they would do well over time. That's all.

So when Ramsey made his debut for us at 16, that meant we and the league we were playing in was crap? Laughable

Whilst I don't agree with the Norweigans on the Championship being the same level as the Norweigan league it's harsh to say the league is crap cos youngsters are scoring

Dele Alli scored a hatrick for MK Dons in League One and he's only 16

Rosenborg in it's prime would probably be mid table in Premier League - nobody in Norway is even close to being the half of that team today. I seriously doubt that any team in Norway right now would survive Championsship.

And Yeah, Martin Ødegaard is probably the biggest talent to be born in Norway. That aside, Cardiff is not his destination what so ever - he has already turned down Bayern Munich, Manchester United, Ajax, City and so on. It's better for him to play in our crappy League than playing for a crappy dvp-team in a youh League :old:

Good Luck Next season. Will be watching your games (mostly Dæhli ;))

And sorry for my bad English.

He wasn't starting games scoring goals and looking like the best player on the pitch.
