A forum for all things Cardiff City

It's with obvious regret for me to inform of the passing of my uncle, Trevor Peck. Trevor signed for Cardiff City in 1958 and played for the Bluebirds into the early 60's. He was always described as an uncompromising or hard tackling centre half, which in those days must have made him a bit of a lunatic!
Probably not one of the best remembered players but if anyone here happened to remember him I would love to hear all about it.
Rest in peace Uncle Trev x

So sad to hear the news of Trevor's passing. My dad played with Trevor at City. He also took him to Kettering Town and even employed him after his football career had finished. I still have photos of Chrissie and I when we were very young. So please pass on my deepest sympathies during this sad time to all the family, but especially to Chrissie.
They did have a falling out in later years but we all saw each other at the CCS reunion last year.
RIP Trevor.

I remember him well the blonde bomber
I have his autograph
Good centre half but had to play a lot at full back because we always had a wealth of talent of centre halves at the time
A very honest player who was just short of top class
My condolences to all his family RIP Trevor

Trevor Peck was god old fashion type and was with the city when there were no shortage of defenders, played in some good teams and with some great players. RIP. Trevor. By the way Rob your father must be Steve Gammon who as well as great mid field player a member of the famous Mumbles Gammon family am I correct.you should know then that Barry Hole took over after Steve broke his leg Dennis Law I seem to remember? Barry and I are very good friends Barry again one of a well known Swansea family. What's strange is both Steve and Barry were at Cardiff when so young.

Yes Steve is my dad and yes a Mumbles boy. The Mumbles boys club won the UK schoolboy cup and City's scouts acted first before Swansea could get their act together. I remember seeing Barry at the CCS reunion dinner. I was completely in awe sitting next to Graham Moore and Alan Durban. These guys along with my dad are my heroes. Next time you see him, please give him my warm regards.
C'mon City.

Not so sure about "famous Mumbles Gammon family" lol
Unless you're referring to William Gammon the coxswain on the lifeboat.
