After having their £3m bid accepted for the Bournemouth striker, Cardiff City are now waiting to complete the deal.
Cardiff City are prepared to play the waiting game when it comes to summer target Lewis Grabban.
The Bluebirds triggered a release clause in the 26-year-old striker’s contract when they had a £3m bid accepted by his current club Bournemouth last week.

But Cardiff are expecting competition for Grabban’s signature with Premier League Crystal Palace and the Bluebirds’ Championship rivals next term, Middlesbrough and Brighton, also reportedly interested.
Grabban impressed with the Cherries in the Championship last term.
The marksman fired 22 goals to help Bournemouth finish a respectable 10th in the second-tier.
With goals a scarcity in the Bluebirds Premier League campaign, manager Ole Gunnar Solskjaer is determined next term to have plenty of firepower at his disposal.
Grabban could be paired up with Spanish striker Javi Guerra who has signed for Cardiff from La Lige outfit Valladolid.
Solskjaer insists the 32-year-old will still join Cardiff despite relegation and said the player is due to arrive for a medical this month.
Cardiff are reportedly also in talks to try to hold onto frontman Fraizer Campbell too.
But the Bluebirds are prepared to wait to try to secure a deal with Grabban and add to their striking options. The transfer window does not open officially until July 1 when players contracts expire, but business can be done now the season is over.
A source within the club said no decision is imminent with Grabban and that it could be a lengthy process tying up a deal with the striker.
Grabban is one of a few players said to currently be on Solskjaer’s radar

Agree with you. We had all this bollox last summer, not ones, but 3-4 times and probably ended up missing out on other targets because of it, can't see any other club in the championship paying more wages than us, except maybe the teams that came down with us, so what's the hold up like, either he wants to come or he don't, fuk all this last resort if no other club comes in crap like them other full weight kunts done to us last season. I no its early, but let's start as we mean to carry on...by not having the piss taken out of us. Come on ole, put your foot down

Isn't the 3m a release clause? So no one needs to bid above it.

Probably is mate, problem is what happens if some other club comes in with a higher bid? Plus player & agent fees,,,its the agents who got most to make, who is his agent anyway? That might be a clue.
