Have you been living in a cave

Thought Annis said it was more or less done from Ole's end

Re: Lewis Gabban wtf!

He is on holiday so of course they are going to have to wait

Re: Lewis Gabban wtf!

I hope that it's just paper talk and we manage to get him signed up sooner rather than later.

We have had a habit in the past of stinging things out and losing our targets. I thought that it looked promising with Ole targeting potential signings already. :bluescarf:

As what is said in the article, signings rarely happen until July 1st when contracts expire. Also, it says Palace are interested, he'll probably keep his options open till July.

Re: Lewis Gabban wtf!

I dont think we (palace are interested)

We had him here as a youngster, wasnt all that to be honest.

Makes no sense to me why you are buying him when you have Frazier Campbell.

The rumour is Frazier could leave, so that could be why we want Grabban?

Baring in mind a portion of his goals came from penalties, 3 million for a lower league striker who has suddenly had one decent season in the Championship last season, and will most likely be found out next season now he's more known, is a huge risk. Would much rather us go for Glenn Murray, someone with the right character who is experienced, been there, done it and scored goals. Murray would be the perfect target man we are currently lacking in my opinion.

Murray has had 1 good season and scored a lot of penalties in that.

Exactly the same as Grabban lol

Murray has had more than 1 good season, I've been impressed with him every time he's played against us. He's proven at this level and is an excellent target man, he's also a very intelligent player who's experience would be vital.

We arent going to sell Murray

Him and Gayle will be our first choice strikers next season imo they look to be a great partnership so far.

I can see why you won't sell Murray, he's a bloody good player! To be fair, you have a pool of good strikers with Murray, Gayle, Jerome and Chamakh. Not glamorous Premiership names, but when you get the best out of them which Pulis does, they can give any Premiership defence problems.

Id agree with that, there arent superstars but they all offer something different.

Jerome isnt ours though, we had him on loan, I think next season if possible it would be great for us to get striker with the physical attributes of jerome but who could also find the net a bit more than twice in a season.

Anyway good luck next season, I am genuinely suprised that you are after Grabban, imo if you want auto promotion next season you need a little better than him but thats just my opinion.

Cheers mate, good luck to you too. You were the best fans we had down here this season. Hopefully we can keep Fraizer Campbell so we won't need to waste 3 million on Grabban.

He has had 1 good season. You arent classing Grabban good season in league 1 so im not counting Murrays good season in league 1.

36 app 6 goals
42 app 30 goals

thats one good season in the championship.

Gabban isn't as handsome as Kenwyne. I hope we go for good looking transfers this year. All those Norwegians players and Zaha were just mingers.

Because your an hypocrite. You moan about us being interested in a lower league striker for 3 million a striker that has scored goals in the division we are going to but cant remember seeing any post of you moaning about malky spending 8 million on some bum who wouldn't score as many as gabban has if he played a season in the welsh league :laughing6:

Why are you bringing Cornelius and the past into this? I've posted in this thread to give my opinion on Grabban and players who I feel would be better acquisitions than Grabban.

For the record, I did a post slating Cornelius for his lack of effort the night after we threw away our 2 goal lead at home to Sunderland and I said I never wanted to see him play for us again. You must have conveniently forgotten about that to suit your "Tonteg never criticises any of Malky's signings" agenda.

Now stop derailing this thread please.

Derby are in for him now, so if they get promoted he'll go to them.
